“This used to be a favorite of mine, but since covid, it has dropped in rank on my list of Chinese restaurants. It's take out only now, and this last time was sub-par. The soup and the entrees seemed to be missing a lot of the meat in them. It's usually piled up, not this time. The crab rangoon seemed old, as if it were made hours ago, not fresh. The staff is always friendly and is usually quick to have your food ready.“

“Green Lotus is my go-to for local Chinese food. The vegetables are fresh. They always prepare my food per my request. Dine in is not available yet. I am hoping they will soon. Food tastes so much better when it is eaten as soon as it is cooked into the plates.So. When you are placing an order for more than one you must specify if the order is:1. Two bags - one ticket2. Two bags - two ticketsThat makes the process go smooth and (forget his name) him happy ?I've been going to Green Lotus for 10 years or close to it.P.S. please have your "Dine In" open. People will come. Your food is awesome!!
Vegetarian options: I am sure they have the ability to prepare food for vegetarians
Dietary restrictions: They will prepare your dish as you wish“

“I’ve ordered delivery food hundreds of times, and this is the first time I’ve felt compelled to go beyond an uber eats review. I am so delightfully surprised to have had a great meal delivered to me 23 minutes away. When the food arrived, it was in thoughtful packaging (is the bag patented?), still warm. Having a sore throat, I ordered the Jasmine green tea, hot & sour soup, and my fiancé ordered the spicy basil chicken, Mongolian beef, fried rice, and broccoli. EVERYTHING WAS GOOD! How does that even happen, (especially with an order 10 minutes before close). The broccoli was firm and not overcooked, (nothing was). The jasmine tea was fantastic with beautiful jasmine flowers inside, a slightly sweet, but not saccharine flavor, and no weird aftertaste. It’s the best jasmine tea I’ve had in metro Atlanta, and I’m a tea enthusiast. The spicy basil chicken had a great kick to it & the Mongolian beef was perfectly cooked, not dry, but well saturated in an oniony sauce, but not overwhelming. All vegetable accompaniments in both dishes were cooked with care, and also appropriately sliced/cut. The hot & sour soup gave me life. It had a nice white pepper hint to it, without being overpowering. I loved this meal. I loved the packaging. I can’t wait to drive 20+ minutes to praise this business in person. Thank you for caring, and thank you for being reasonable in your pricing without sacrificing quality or serving size. I will order again, and that’s a promise.“

“I had my food delivered to work! It was prepared in a timely manner. I ordered the lunch special: chicken, beef & shrimp w/brown rice & egg drop soup! They were out of brown rice, so they wrote a note on the bag & told the driver to let me know! They replaced the brown rice with egg, fried rice. It was delicious! I would eat here again!“

“After coming here for the first time about three days ago we had to come back. All the food we had from the orange chicken to the egg drop soup, everything was amazing. The service is amazing and the food came out quick. I highly recommend this place especially for college students like myself. They give a lot of food considering the price is so low. 10/10 would recommend.“

“The service is amazing great atmosphere was nice, fast service everything was hot and good. The only thing problem was that I asked for honey glazed chicken but I couldn't taste the honey glaze, however the chicken itself was cooked to perfection nice and crisp and tender. I would like to give them perfect score.“

“I just moved to Douglasville and have been considering China East for a bit, but wanted to get more accustomed to driving in that area. So, tonight I finally placed an order. It was clean and quiet when I went inside. The kitchen looked very nice, you can see it from the counter. When I was approached about my order, the lady was extremely sweet and my order was ready several minutes before the time indicated.
I wish I had been able to leave a tip, but I didn't have the money at the time. However, I intend to next time!
The food is great. I'm picky about Chinese food, but this was quite nice. I'm not sure why anyone complains about the rice. It's yellow FRIED rice, guys! Have you not heard of yellow fried rice? And it's delicious. I actually prefer it over any other fried rice I've had at other places. The pork and veggies in it were fresh. The rice was perfectly cooked. (Please don't change your recipe!)
I also had the sweet and sour chicken. It was fresh, not tough at all, and wonderful. Sure, they don't put pounds of meat into their batter (at the guys who keep complaining about that) but I thought it was a fair amount of chicken and it went so well with the sweet and sour sauce.
I'm excited to come back for another visit! Thanks, everyone at China East for making my dinner worthwhile tonight! I've already spread the words to my family to also visit.
- Jenn“

“If you’re craving top-notch Chinese food in Metro Atlanta, look no further than Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant on Hwy 5 in Douglasville! This place is hands-down the best Chinese spot I’ve found since moving to Atlanta, offering unbeatable flavor and generous portions at very reasonable prices. I ordered the Triple Delight with Mixed Vegetables and swapped in Shrimp Fried Rice—absolutely divine. Even my picky grandkids couldn’t get enough! They enjoyed wings, vegetable fried rice, and shrimp/chicken with mixed vegetables and shrimp fried rice, devouring every bite.
We upgraded our pork egg rolls to shrimp egg rolls, and let me tell you, they are the best I’ve ever had. We loved them so much that we took five more to go! But the real gem here is Wendy—she made the entire experience memorable with her friendly A-1 customer service and spot-on recommendations. Wendy is pictured below along with my Triple Delight with Mixed vegetables after I’d already had a serving. I’ve been searching for a place like this, and now that I’ve found it, I’ll be a regular for sure. Do yourself a favor: head over to Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant, ask for Wendy, and tell her Alma sent you. You won’t regret it!“

“Bamboo garden restaurant is a Chinese takeout only. The restaurant is always clean and orderly. Technically they have tables there and you could probably eat in there but it's not set up for table service.
All of the food that I have had from this restaurant is very good take out.
The food is prepared to order and normally takes about 15 minutes. I usually get one of the combos such as chicken with fried rice and I make it extra spicy. They do a great job!
The young woman that is taking the orders is always pleasant and cheerful. From the order desk you can see the kitchen and it's always clean and running like a well-oiled machine. Everybody's doing their job and it's very efficient.
If you haven't tried Bamboo Garden, you should give him a shot. I don't think you'll be disappointed.“

“This place has such exquisite taste. The house special fried rice was something out of heaven. So much flavor packed into one plate. The quality, customer service, and overall environment was splendid. I will be back for more. Their son is also so kind and respectful, a good young man.“

“I was eating in the restaurant and an elderly lady came in that could barely walk with her cane. On her way out, a staff member helped her walk to her car and get back in it. Was truly awesome to see staff with respect and caring about our elders.“

“I love 😍me some Star East. I’ve been eating there for the past 10years at least and they never disappoint. The food is made to order, the vegetables are fresh and never overcooked, and abo-so-freakin-lutely DELICIOUS. The Singapore Mey fun, lomein (been, chicken, and shrimp), fried chicken, beef & broccoli, the chicken & broccoli, the fried rice, the white rice, the the Mongolian beef (sweet and non-sweet) and the Sweet Tea??? BANGIN😆 Why? Karren is always polite, friendly, respectful, and appreciative for your support of their business. I’d take a picture of my plate if I hadn’t killed it already. They are my one and only Chinese spot. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽“

“Compared to other areas around the area what stood out is the integrity. Food was good but have to highlight the integrity. if they get something wrong they don’t mind making it right and won’t be rude about it and will even throw in a discount. That won me over most places around the area can be very nasty or condescending if they make a mistake and you call them out on it. Was refreshing to come to a merchant that’s polite and respectful to their customers“

“This is my family's go to place for Chinese food! I will drive pass numerous other Asian restaurants just to get a meal from them. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. The food is delicious! I've ordered different dishes from them and have never been disappointed. Always generous portions, and the restaurant clean. Highly recommend!“

“I love the different options of food But when it gets to Mexican fruit they have to learn to know and handle them properly I was there yesterday and I love tunas but in this case the way they cut them it could be dangerous eating invisible tiny thorns that might stick on your tongue or throat and end up in a lawsuit It was a shame not eating some yesterday Other than that I love the food there“

“*Update* I notice some people saying the food is salty, but yesterday the takeout * was not salty enough*. I hope the owners keep the salt in. For people who don't want salt, Chinese takeout is probably not the best option!
I have been here several times and the food is much better than any other Chinese restaurant (sit down or fast food) in Douglasville. I'm sad to see the bad reviews and I don't know what that's about. I always get vegetables with tofu, and yesterday I also got vegetable fried rice. This was enough food for two big meals for two people (4 meals) so very economical. The vegetables are fresh and crisp, nice sized broccoli florets in fried rice, crisp carrot slices. Not too salty at all, I added soy sauce because I need my salt! I would have given them 5 stars except for black plastic takeout containers which are not super safe, but you find those everywhere.“

“I've been here several times over the year pre & post COVID the food has been consistently good. It's not best in the state but certainly the best in this area. as someone who has had Chinese food up and down the east coast this place is pretty good. I've seen people complain about the service with the same dumb complaints of loudness, yelling or rushing by thr waitress but that is the same in all Chinese restaurants everywhere. This is part of their culture and how they speak. The restaurant seems very clean and so does the rest room. The only thing that sconces me is the reptile place next door that sells bugs and all kinds of stuff. The prices are not bad and the food is pretty good. I'll keep going here as long as I live in this area.“

“I believe they’re understaffed, but as someone who’s worked in the food industry I have a lot of patience. The food is amazing! “My husband and I stopped in House of Lu as part of our never ending journey for authentic Asian food. From the moment we opened the big red doors and saw the aesthetic, art, and design we knew we were in for a treat.
The fried pork dumplings, green beans, and double cooked pork was the closest we’ve come to food we’d have every day while living in China. My husband had the beef pho and was so impressed. The cocktails are creative and delicious also. 10/10 fully recommend House of Lu.
The owners were so nice and checked on us and all the other customers and service was fantastic and accommodating.
I have three recommendations:
Serve the food on heated plates - the food got cold pretty quickly.
Serve the dumplings with the hot chili oil (ask for it if they don’t serve it - it was a game changer for an already delicious dumpling)
Make it spicier - some of the dishes were listed as “spicy” but they were definitely sweeter than spicy.
Don’t miss out on this Marietta marvel!“

“Got take-out from here for the first time the other day. Their Singapore Mei Fun is probably the best I've had in the area; it is actually spicy and quite delicious. The pork rolls and spring rolls were on-point as well. The only downside was that I went in the middle of the dinner rush and they were slammed and seemed understaffed. I had to wait for a bit for the food. They were very professional and seemed to get the orders out in the order they were received. They don't lose a star for that due to the quality of the food and the generous portions. Will definitely be going back. Thanks folks!“

She gave amazing recommendations and it was quick service!! Will definitely be back! Found my new food spot!“

“The sesame chicken and the Hibachi chicken and steak are awesome and my favorites here. They do charge for extra yum yum sauce but it's worth the $1 to me. Not much to say about the inside, only one table and some chairs for people to wait on their food. The food is good though!“

“They had really good food except the cashew chicken I ordered should’ve been called celery chicken. They must’ve ran out of cashews. “Definitely one of my favorite Chinese food places. My personal favorites are the fried chicken wings and general tso chicken. I have had many other items on their menu and they never disappoint. Their spring roll is what I've been looking for since I moved here from Chicago and left my favorite Thai restaurant behind up there. “I love this place. I seriously do. I live 50mns away and this is only place I eat Chinese food at. HOWEVER, your almond chicken recipe is the laziest meal I’ve ever witness: dried almond pieces with dry floured chicken pieces and what seems to be a very unhealthy brown sauce.“
