First time here today and it didn't disappoint. I had the shrimp and grits and my husband had the fish and grits and we both left full and happy the only thing I hated was the fact that I forgot to take a picture of our plates!!
Stopped in today for the first time and the place was Joplin which I expect is normal on a Saturday morning. I ordered Hashed Out and it was pretty good, and my boyfriend ordered the Kickstart breakfast. I also had a side of Fried Green Tomatoes. The FGTs were some of the best that I ever had and I would rate those 5 Stars…I will say that I felt the prices were pretty high, and that will prevent me from going back. $7 for 4 slices of FGT, $16 for Hashed Out and I think $14 for the Kickstart and then $7 for the waffle. The drink menu looked good, but we stuck with coffee and water.

I was told that me and my 2 small children had a 15 to 20 minutes wait before being served. 45 minutes passed and we were told we had another 15 minute wait,only to have someone else seated before us eventhou we were told we were next to be seated. I felt lied to and disrespected. My time is important and was completely wasted.

HEALTH SCORE IS A 73.I went there before being aware of health score. I always order the chicken sandwich with the homemade fries. The fries were always delicious and creamy and the chicken sandwich with the homemade hot and green sauce on that fresh onion roll was out of this world. (Hence the rating)The last time I ordered it didn’t taste as fresh and it was extra greasy. So i decided to go inside. It smelled of old shoes and dirty mop water. When i went to the checkout area I saw the health score and my mouth dropped. (73) The sweet lady covered it up and said it wasn’t that bad, we got minor points off for the silliest things. I told her I couldn’t trust it and immediately cancelled my order and left.After reading their health score report in detail online I almost threw up!!!!!! From preparing trays of biscuits on trash cans to black residue in their ice machine.Eat at your own risk

The CBCB was the absolute best chicken biscuit I've ever had! Ordered from Uber Eats. The peach persevere was the cherry on top! My kids loved the chicken and waffles.
I went here for breakfast. If you wish to experience a different eclectic environment, this is recommended. The young man behind the bar was very pleasant, personable, and attentive. There were not many entree choices, I had the Hashed Out, but it was really good. Also, the coffee was good. It's not a big place, but very comfortable. Highly recommend.
