“My husband and I had a fantastic Friday date night at the Flying Trout. Southern hospitality at its finest from everyone. We had chicken and dumplings, seafood linguine and bourbon bread pudding. The food was excellent and each dish was plenty to eat. The menu was better than last year and the dress was casual to sharp casual. I was moved by the tribute to our Veterans and POW. They had a band on the back porch which made it feel like spring had arrived. We will be going back and will recommend our friends to do the same.“

“Great BBQ, however, I ate at the Rib Country in Cleveland 3-4 times a month with my family until you recently increased the prices. It was expensive before, but the BBQ was good. The price has officially become too outrageous for a family to eat out. Good luck with your business, but I will no longer eat at your establishment until the price can be reduced to a more reasonable rate.“

“The staff was the friendliest people you would ever meet. The food and cocktails at their restaurant “ The Flying Trout “ Were very good. It’s right next to part of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It also has cabins that you can rent!

“Cooks definitely has that small town feel in the best possible way. After a few vacations and house hunting trips, Cook's will be a a regular treat. After a handful of stops, I finally decided to try a burger.
No judging but I asked if they could make me a chili cheese burger. It really should be on the menu. I've eaten a lot of burgers in my lifetime and this is definitely in my top 5. The fries were great too.
The service has always been really good. To the tatted blonde lady who was our server....Thank you!!!

“Got the pork chops, they were very juicy. Husband got the chicken bites as his meal. The appetizer was plenty of food for a meal. The raspberry lemonade was very sweet and so good. Our server was very kind and checked on us regularly. The food came out quick. It was a pleasant experience.“
