“This morning, my husband and I had breakfast at the Huddle House on Main Street in Helen, Georgia. I have allergies to gluten, dairy, corn, and oats, which makes going out to eat very challenging.

Server Angie, cook Bryson, and the team at Huddle House took up that challenge and bent over backwards to make sure I had something more than two eggs for breakfast. They went through every entry on the menu to see what I could have, and came up with a salad with chicken on it.

It was delicious! When we left, my hunger had been sated, and my heart was also happy that these folks worked so hard to make sure I started the day with a delicious breakfast!

“My wife and I just returned from celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary, at the Valhalla Resort Hotel. We absolutely LOVED it! The minute we drove up to the hotel’s front door, we were greeted by Steve, a tremendous valet! He genuinely treated us like we were the most important people in the hotel, right from the get go! Then, as we walked into the hotel, Judy welcomed us in with a smile, and explained to us what Valhalla had to offer. I felt like we were visiting with friends! Our room was beautiful, and quite festive, as our youngest daughter purchased the “Celebrate You” package for us! Later that evening, we went to have a drink at the Sky Bar, which has beautiful Mountain Views! Matt was the bartender, who fixed us an Old Fashioned, a Jalapeño Margarita. DELICIOUS! Matt is full of personality, and was right on point both days we spent time with him! Lastly, we met Jerry Murdock, the owner. Jerry was as kind as can be, and is an absolute riot! Thank you Valhalla, for helping to make our 30th wedding anniversary a most special one! We will be back!“

“Where the locals get their pretzels! Several employees in the Helen area recommended this snack shack. It's in the back. If you're on the main sidewalk you need to go down that tunnel and all the way to the end near the employee parking lot. Don't be put off by the hole in the wall vibe. Staff was so friendly and kind. The pretzel and pickle fries were the best. And the pretzel comes in a pizza box. Nobody else has a pretzel that big! So soft and warm and has extra dip, not just one dinky cup of dip like the others.“

“Overall, we had a good experience. The restaurant had a cool look. The potato pancakes were good- crispy on the outside. They had a hint of flavor, but needed more. It was great with the apple sauce. The pretzel was fluffy and soft with very delicious cheese! It was so cheesy and had a distinct taste. I think in general our problem was the good was bland. My husband had the chicken sandwich and said it was good- the flavor coming from the burnt parts. I got the beef roast- it was good, but it was slathered in gravy. The carrots and potatoes needed seasoning. My son got the chicken schnitzel. It was soggy. The mashy potatoes had a good texture, but needed seasoning. The spaetzle was also soggy- maybe that's how they are supposed to be? I don't know much about German food, but maybe this is how it's supposed to taste?? We went back a second time and sat in a different room- there were no TVs and the lights were super bright so we got out food to go. The pretzel was just as good. The french onion soup was okay- probably better there. The mozzarella was not was stretchy/stringy as I remember. It also might not have been mozzarella- not sure. We also had a piece of German chocolate cake. It was good. The cake was moist and the cream was thick with coconut and nuts!“

“Danielle was both server and bartender and her professionalism was terrific. She greeted us as we came in, took our order promptly, and kept up with folks at the bar at the same time. She also was managing take out orders. It’s clear she is a hospitality professional. The atmosphere score went down because we miss the shuffleboard. :)“

“I had an amazing experience! Kaylee was our server, and she was absolutely fantastic. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. She checked on us at the perfect times, had a great attitude, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Excellent customer service like hers is hard to find.

The food was just as incredible—everything came out fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. Every dish we ordered was delicious, and the portions were generous. Between Kaylee’s outstanding service and the amazing food, this was easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. We’ll definitely be back, and we’ll be asking for Kaylee again!“

“I don’t usually leave reviews for fast food but I felt like this one was deserved after seeing their score on google! I stopped by to pick up lunch for my husband and I! My experience was wonderful, the guy that helped me was nice and patient with me since I was trying to figure out what to order my husband. Also, the quality of the sandwiches were the best I’ve had from subway in a while!“

“Delicious✨. My family went there specifically because of the good reviews one of us was reading. I don’t know what site he was using but they were all outstanding, nothing less than a four star. I thought the place was amazing! We were served pretty quickly and the appetizers greatly appeased the wait. The loaded fries and chicken I got was DELICIOUS! I have never eaten anything better ? (I’m not a bot, I swear?). The servers were really nice, especially the guy on the phone when we called to ask about the wait (there was none!) They even pushed enough tables together to have our 19 people sitting at the same table (usually they say 15 people a table, max at other restaurants). I have absolutely nothing bad to say about it??‍♀️. Highly recommend!“
