“I hosted a 32 year Desert Storm reunion this weekend 9/8 & 9/9/2023 at this location. I am ecstatic to say the least in the performance of the entire staff! I met Charles and Dave the current and former post commanders and they were very professional and worked with me every step of the way. The bar & Kitchen staff were amazing in their duties Susan, Kiara, Gene, James, and Mike. Todd the canteen manager and his brother got everything food related priced affordable but also had all food out on time and ready to eat. The entire staff was very friendly and courteous and my original count of 42 grew to 48 in just one day with no excuses from the staff to accommodate the additional patrons. These men and their families served with me and put their lives on the line 32 years ago and I can't thank the VFW staff enough from all of us for giving us the pricing and working with us on timing. I could not have picked a better spot to hold my event and hope after reading this many of you will feel the same. Thanks you VFW post 660 Savannah Georgia for making a good event a perfect event!“

“The service here was amazing, every single waiter was always there to check on their tables and make sure they get what they need. I would highly recommend asking to get Tony he is an awesome waiter, he always checked up on us, refilled our drinks almost immediately after we finished one. He made jokes with the table and made everyone have an amazing time. He brought out all of our meals besides one of my friends because he didn’t like the way it looked so he made the remake it. “For a dive bar, this place gets 5 stars. It was clean, had a decent atmosphere, the bartenders were very friendly, and there was a dj, a pool table, and plenty of parking. If you just want a beer or a stiff [insert liquor and mixer], a place to go on a blind date that isn't romantic, or if you want to have a drink out somewhere with your bf but don't want to be social (us) this place is perfect!This is NOT a place for "foodies" or "hipsters" or anyone that orders crazy flavored martinis. Go downtown. If you want good bourbon, classic cocktails, or muddled anything (ie gin fizz, Pimm's cup, mojito, mule) again, go downtown.But, we had a good time, it seemed like everyone else was having a good time, and a ranch water made with Rose's lime was surprisingly tasty.“

“Bootleggers is a great place to just hang out. Shoot a game of pool or darts, play keno and poker tournaments every week. If you're hungry the food here is very good. Huge hamburgers and their chicken wings are the best. I highly recommend the wings with Old Bay seasoning.“

“Went on a Sunday afternoon. I expected it to be busy as it is a new location and the location is smaller than the normal D & B. Food was delicious 10/10. Drinks- sign advertises Sunday, Monday and Thursday pint beer for $3.99. The Bartender made SEVERAL excuses as to why this “special” was not working when in fact once I got the manger (Amanda) she explained that it started at 4pm. The Bartender (Macy) was rude to all of the guests who sat at the bar. If Macy is going to continue to work at the bar I suggest she works on her customer service, her delivery and tone and she needs to be retrained on how the specials work. Horrible, incompetent and rude service from her!! Thankfully my waitress, Miya took care of my party. She and Amanda really who made our visit at this location better.
