“Saw a billboard on our way from Albany Georgia. On our way back to Tuscaloosa AL. What an unbelievable experience the food was phenomenal. The employees were so nice and accommodating. If I’m even remotely close to this restaurant, I promise you, I will stop by again.”

“This is my family’s favorite restaurant. We live in Albany but travel to Dawson just to eat at the San Joes in Dawson. Great food, great service. The staff is very friendly and welcoming - every time!”

“Came this morning on May 1st as soon as they opened and was met with amazing customer service from the woman working on the Order side. I didn’t get a name but she had glasses and a ponytail. It’s rare to get great service around here sometimes. She made sure she was communicating through my transaction. I hope all the workers keep this attitude! Food was on point !”

“We stopped here going back home! Their food is delicious! We had catfish (feeds 2 people), collard greens, butter beans and coleslaw! The amount of the sides were decent and fed my husband and I. The ladies were very friendly!

“Great food! Really like the Egg Drop Soup and egg rolls. My favorite menu item is Shrimp Broccoli with vegetable fried rice. Add extra shrimp (because I love shrimp) and extra broccoli.

Vegetarian options: I really like the vegetable fried rice. They are very accommodating to leaving meat out of the dishes or suggesting different meals for your dietary needs.”

“There's no Shoneys in WPB anymore and none in AL where I live now. We ran into this place by accident on vacation in Orlando. Talk about nostalgia. The food is the exact same as it was 30 years ago. Tasted the same, too. Now that I know this is here, when I head home for a visit, I plan to come this route just so I can stop here again. Great service as well.”

Restrooms were sparkling too! Parking for a travel trailer was convenient in the large grocery store parking lot next door!”
