“Absolutely wonderful time staying in the Burton Cabin and eating at Bleu Canoe restaurant. The restaurant has a large dog friendly outdoor patio with magical string lights and big trees that provide the perfect outdoor ambiance. Food is outstanding and so unique to the region. You can tell that the quality of ingredients is high and that a lot of care goes into the preparation. Their stocks are homemade! Wednesdays is oyster grilling night and Thursdays is live music. A must visit restaurant when in the area or make it a weekend getaway with a stay in one of their historic cabins or tiny homes.“

“Attic WE live in Highlands, NC but our kids live in GA. It is a wonderful drive there and back, but we always plan our trip with a lunch stop in Clarkesville, at the Attic Restaurant. Exposed brick walls, a nice bar and ALWAYS fresh foods: I almost always get special soup. We dine inside, but outside is lovely too! Love the waitstaff, the ownership, and even the guests are congenial. The town has cute shops, a great antiques shop and more. You never know where to go off the interstate, BUT the attic is worth the detour!“

“I have dined at The Copper Pot many times, and somehow I have never tried the Gateway Grits…until today! Let me tell you, this is the best grit dish I have had in a very long time. I am very particular about my grits, and love that their grits are sourced locally from Nora Mill just down the road in Helen. I was looking for something that would warm me up on a cold January afternoon, and this hit the spot. It also helped that I had WONDERFUL service from Alex. She was very attentive, kind, and provided good conversation. Grateful to have wonderful eateries like The Copper Pot in my hometown!“

“My wife and I had yet another perfect experience at Community last night. It was our 29th Anniversary and we were treated like royalty. The service was fantastic from beginning to end. Jay and Melissa, the owners were gracious hosts, coming by to talk to us and circulating throughout the dining room to speak to all of the guests. The beverage program here is among the best in Georgia. My wife and I both enjoyed delicious, creative cocktails before dinner and an excellent Spanish Rioja with dinner. The food was perfect as well. The steaks were perfectly prepared and completely delicious. The sides were also perfectly on point. A special call-out on the creamed corn. It is spectacular; elevated far beyond of the soupy, flavorless mess of our collective childhoods. Smokey grilled sweet corn with a touch of cream and some sort of sorcery transform this dish into a delight of taste, texture, and decadent enjoyment. Desert was also amazing, from the house-mode ice cream trio (especially the peach!) to the mind-blowing smoke cinnamon cake with rum caramel sauce and house made ice cream. It is hard to recommend this gem of a restaurant highly enough.“

I ordered the Club Sandwich with chips, and let me tell you—this wasn’t just any club sandwich. It was the club of my dreams. Stacked high with savory black forest ham, tender roasted turkey, crispy bacon, and provolone, every bite was a symphony of flavor. The fresh romaine and ripe tomato added a crisp contrast, while the toasted sourdough provided the ideal crunch. The herb aioli brought everything together with a deliciously zesty finish. It was hearty, satisfying, and kept me full for hours. This place truly delivers on quality—from the thoughtfully crafted food to the outstanding customer service. The young lady was not helpful at all. She kept trying to rush me when I was talking to the professiona, your man, about my topping choices. I purchased 4 giant sandwiches it didn't take much time for him to prepare the meals.She has no customer service skills at all.“
