“VIsited The Cottage again on 9 April on a rainy Tuesday. Christine was a joy as our server and actually suggested another new winery near Blairsville to try! Tried the Expressions Rose and left with several bottles as well as the Meritage red which we've liked for several years! Our first time seeing the new building open and its very nice! Outside seating has expanded again with another lower gravel area added. We'll keep coming back every trip! Our dogs also highly recommend the "gourmet grass" they grow as highly tasty!“
“After a rainy week the weather finally cleared and we stopped by Cenita on Friday the 12th. Relaxing as ever we sat and ate while enjoying a bottle of the Sauvis. Buddy posed for a photo and all the colors seemed so bright after a week of overcast and drizzle.“

“I’m always kinda iffy about barbecue unless I’ve had it before but this place did not disappoint. We always use sweet baby ray’s but this sauce was so good. I drenched my food in it. You get a big plate and a piece of garlic toast. I would definitely eat here again.“
“The food was incredible! We got the fried bananas for desert and our main courses were a garlic beef dish and a beef noodle soup. Both were so flavorful and savory. Our waitress was so sweet and quick at serving us. Definitely our new fave place!“

I got SO MUCH ICE CREAM it was kinda hard to finish it all lol. Our server, I forgot her name, but she was so sweet and hilarious, she gave us STACKS of ice cream. I was laughing so hard I cried. “Holy wow! Driving up into the Sylvan Valley Lodge at dusk and seeing it for the first time with all its lights lit was a breathtakingly beautiful sight! It is such a gorgeous property!Then we walked in and were greeted by an open and friendly staff and proceeded upstairs to find our HUGE and perfect room! The only thing that was better than our room was the gigantic common area that boasts floor to ceiling windows overlooking a mountain view.The property is second to none. And we had already decided to return based on how wonderful the amenities were… but then we entered the gift shop! It is filled with unique finds and hosted by the property manager, Brandi. She is such a warm and kind person who is genuinely interested in her guests and in ensuring that your stay has been perfect. I am incredibly impressed by her management of both the property and by her customer service!I cannot recommend Sylvan Valley highly enough!!! “My favorite restaurant in Helen. I have yet to be disappointed and I have visited many occasions. It’s small and food is cooked to order so bring some patience with you. There is usually a wait but to me that’s a testament of tasty food. It’s well worth it. They run out of items so I’d suggest getting there early. They will cut off to go orders if they are busy because they would rather make sure each dish is well made rather than sling slop as fast as possible to as many as possible. They have a nice selection of German sausages and deli meats and delectable pastries as well.“
“Great place and great people. And we love the boiled peanuts! Awesome flavors and nice people. The man and woman serving the peanuts are polite and friendly. I definitely recommend trying the lemon pepper and Cajun peanuts and grabbing a drink on the patio area at two tire tavern.“
“Great place to sit out and have a lovely meal and German beers looking out over to the river. Very dog friendly outside (they give your canine friend a cut up hot dog if you allow it).The schnitzel, potato pancakes and goulash were all delicious and came out nice and hot.The German beers were poured well in to appropriate steins. You can choose between 500cc or 1 liter pours. The schwartzbiers and festbiers we had were delicious.Service is excellent.“
“A Pleasant Surprise: Muller's was a great place for everyone with a variety of food. I ordered the Pork Schnitzel Sandwich with a Mango Peach Mixed Italian soda. It was delicious. The sandwich was seasoned perfectly. The soda was creamy and sophisticated. Although Muller's served no alcoholic beverages, it had a better atmosphere without. Our waitress was extremely kind and friendly who served us with confidence and passion. We were seated on the back patio with no one else there so we had a perfect experience and atmosphere. You should go to Muller's for a dinner that will fill you up and taste good in Helen.“

“My husband and I travel 2 and a half hours from home just to enjoy this place and atmosphere. We were asked if we were locals, and we are not. Both times we have been we felt at home and was acknowledged, recognized,and most of all welcomed. We both absolutely will be back and can't wait for our next visit . “One of our favorite wineries! The wines are excellent, staff is friendly and helpful. They always have music on the weekends. You can bring your own food or they have some charcuterie items or purchase. Great outdoor area with lots of tables. There is a also an area with fire pits and a dome you can rent. Dogs are allowed outside only. They have a small indoor seating area as well. (no pets inside on rainy days) Would highly recommend!“
