Just experienced the most horrible treatment ever at Dairy Queen. I have lived in Clayton my whole life. I have been to Dairy Queen more times than I can count. The employee, Tristan that works there is the most rude, disrespectful, employee. I think it would be in the owners best interest to terminate him. Just moved to Clayton G.A. Everyone we have encountered has been wonderful. Every shop is gracious, every restaurant has had great service. Then we stopped at the Dairy Queen. The photos say it all. Every table we can view is dirty. French fries on the floor. Smeared chocolate on the counter. Meanwhile the 2 employees in the photo are sitting on their collective a**es doing absolutely nothing. Based on the reviews, Dairy Queen Grill & Chill is described as one of the oldest restaurants in Rabun County. The local owners gave it a new facelift which added a drive-thru, and it has really rebounded since a local entrepreneur purchased the then struggling store. The food was good, fresh and hot for a very good value, and some customers had the absolute best meal in a very long time with extremely friendly workers. However, other reviews note the restaurant lobby needed cleaning, and a cashier was not friendly. A peanut butter sundae had very little peanut butter and the ice cream was a little off, seeming more like whip cream. A hot dog was cheap and not the same quality as expected, with an incorrect order due to a loud cooling system. A moolatte was disappointing, and for 9.00, the fries were old, the burger and bun were tough. The only good thing was the sundae for some.
