The tour is led by Doug, the owner and Master Distiller, who shares his extensive knowledge about making whiskey. He explains the science behind his craft in a fun and engaging way, making the experience extremely enjoyable and informative. The owner and staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. The tasting at the end of the tour is highly recommended. Many have found it enlightening and have left with bottles of their favorites, including the Bloody Mary. Moonrise Distillery is a must-visit destination in Clayton, with a beautiful speakeasy location downtown that is a great chill spot to just relax and have an adult beverage. It is also military and veteran friendly.
