“My favourite out of a bucket full of great restaurants in Athens. It's a counter top order but someone delivers your meal in quick time and hot. But the food is why you come here. Southern through and through. There is not a thing on the menu I wouldn't bring home for dinner or just can't wait and order in. We ordered Christmas dinner from the Preacher and everyone said AMEN! The fried chicken is mouthwatering juicy good. The Pot Roast is just like your grandmother cooked it for hours. The Collard Greens, sweet potatoes, black eyed peas are scrumptious. Just go there. It's terrific.”

“We worked with Sweetie Pie by Savie for our wedding cutting cake in July 2025. We loved our cake, it was exactly what we asked for! She was very easy to work with and we enjoyed many of the flavor options. We ended up going with a ginger spice cake with cream cheese frosting. We kept some cake frozen for our one year anniversary and it was still delicious when thawed and enjoyed now!”

“This is my go-to restaurant for a home cooked burger. The portion side is huge! Tasty crinkle cut fries accompany the burger with crispy goodness. The BBQ may be what they are known for, but the burger is the best around this little community especially at the price you would pay for a frozen pre-made patty at fast food!”

We started with the appetizer sampler, also had the Tom Kha, Tropical Fried Rice with shrimp, pad Thai with pork, pad see-ewe with chicken and a second pad see-ewe shrimp. Washed it down with Thai iced tea and Thai coffee. Everything was fantastic! We will definitely be going back.”
