Great establishment with good food
Stopped by this shop yesterday and, wow, the food had so much flavor and the owner and her sister have the best energy. Definitely going back, going to make this my spot every time I'm on that side of town.
If you want amazing food, go! If you want a smile, stay awhile and talk to Vera and her family!!! Made my day! ☺
V's Taste of 700 Islands is a lovely spot for authentic Caribbean food, described as a vacation destination and like entering a favorite aunt's kitchen. The food is amazing, super outstanding, absolutely delicious, and well seasoned, with every bite full of love. Popular dishes include the oxtail, jerk chicken, curried chicken, and jerk wings, which are fall off the bone. Excellent sides are the Mac n cheese, cabbage with diced red and yellow bell peppers, plantains, collard greens, yellow rice, and stew. The portions are generous and beyond generous, offering great bang for your buck. It is not a dine-in place, but the service is friendly and fast, with a big, warm smile. Guests always look forward to ordering and are guaranteed to return, walking away with a full belly and humming a happy tune. This hidden location off of main street feels like a wonderful little secret.
