“I fell in love again with Popeyes after my recent trip to Atlanta. I thought that maybe the company as a whole decided to take the dirty rice off the menu, but apparently it was just my local franchise. I went to two different Popeyes during my stay. The first was just off of Ponce de Leon in Atlanta, and the food there was great which prompted our visit to this location in Covington on our way home. You wouldn’t expect to get good, hot, fresh chicken and sides at 3 in the afternoon at the slow part of the day, but I can tell you that the chicken, dirty rice, tenders, mashed potatoes and gravy, and, of course, the biscuits felt like they were cooked specially for us. Everything was hot to the point that I couldn’t eat it right away. The staff couldn’t have been any nicer. I ordered on the app and went through the drive thru and was told that they were still working on my order, and if I wouldn’t mind pulling back around to allow them to finish up. We decided to go inside to wait. The lady who was preparing our order said they were out of cocktail sauce and asked if I wanted to try the blackened ranch instead. She also offered honey for the biscuits and gave us a whole handful of seasoning packets. Kudos to the staff for making the whole experience great!!“
