“Food was delicious!! We ordered a Gyro Platter with hummus and Greek salad. I asked the owner to give us the salad instead of rice. We asked for the feta cheese and dressing on the side. He served us the plate exactly as we asked him. The Gyros were hot and cooked to perfection, not burned nor dry meat was very tender and tasty. I also ordered Baba Ghanoush. It was delicious. I told the owner. We enjoyed the food, it's delicious. The staff were very nice polite, attentive and friendly. The place was cleaned. He told us thanks. They were very appreciative and grateful. He told us to please go back. We definitely will go back on Saturday. We recommend this place. I told him, l wish they had a restaurant closer to Flowery Branch. I will go everyday. “EXTREMELY happy with my visit here, I will absolutely be back. The bathrooms are very large, and if you need the handicapped stall, they are large enough for a seat transfer with their own sink.
The host, Luka, saw us coming and opened the doors for us, and was very pleasant. I could tell from his demeanor that we'd chosen a great restaurant. Our waitress, Sam, was also extremely friendly and very knowledgable about the menu, patient with our indeciveness (So many great options!), and fun to talk to. We ordered lamb, meatballs, rotissere chicken, and lobster bisque, and everything was just exquisite. Despite the size of the building, it's nice and quiet, and they have real candles at the tables. The lighting is a bit dim, but it's a surprisingly cozy atmosphere for how large the space is.“

“Very clean and simple layout featuring a sushi bar as you walk in and both indoor and outdoor seating.

We were greeted quickly and shown to a table immediately.

Our complete order ended up being: 2 waters, 1 cold green tea, 5 rolls, 1 Chef's Nigiri, and 2 Green Tea Ice Creams.

We were presented with miso soup to begin, along with kimchi, shredded daikon, marinated broccoli, and pickled onion.

Loved that they gave us soup spoons and chopsticks without the usual fork, knife, and spoon.

For the rolls we ordered Garlic Crunch Roll, Hide and Seek Roll, Mango Tango Roll, Volcano Roll, and Golden Tiger Roll.

Nigiri was fresh and their rice was good.

I don't know where/who they get the green tea ice cream from, but it was the perfect ending for the meal.

Have easily spent the same amount at flashier, popular sushi places and gotten lower quality, so this was a solid homerun in our book.“

“Our experience at Local Republic was so good we went twice during our visit to Lawrenceville. On Saturday we went for an appetizer and drinks. We sat at the bar and our service was fantastic. Her timing was above par! We had the Korean Chicken Wings, boneless wings generously tossed in gochjang sauce. They were so good, I seriously considered ordering again on Sunday just to take home. We had espresso martinis, made with vodka. They were really good and for those of us who are lactose intolerant, they do not contain dairy. We went back on Sunday for their Sunday brunch. Highly recommend! When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the lady who was our bartender on Saturday. She immediately recognized us and welcomed us back. We were seated right away and the server also recognized us, even though he had not waited on us on Saturday. He also provided exceptional service. My husband had the brisket tostada served with a runny egg on top. He really enjoyed it and I had a bite. Definitely something we would order again. I had their shrimp and grits. I am normally not one to eat grits, but these were so good, I couldn’t stop myself. They were served with a tomato sauce the was spicy, andouille sausage and roasted red peppers. It was so good! I can hardly wait to have my leftovers for breakfast tomorrow. Unfortunately, my husband devoured his Brisket Tostada, so no leftovers there. Overall, I cannot recommend Local Republic enough for their exceptional food and service. Their prices are reasonable as well. Our tab on Sunday, which included one more espresso martini, was only $51.“

We hit some high places and others on our Sunday Brunch research, this is one of the better places we visit. We have been to a couple locations with great to greater results every time. This location is near the Mall of Georgia, pretty close in real terms. The DO have reservations, so it makes it a pleasure to go, to be seated quickly and have good service, a full bar and a competent kitchen staff.. This time our waitress was Kashmir and she was the best. We also had a Chance to talk to the AG (Assistant Goddess) Pam, she remembered us from our past visit-months ago, and was both cordial and helpful. We DO NOT forget good staff. The food was all on point, my Avocado Eggs Benedict was terrific with a good amount of Cheesy Hollandaise sauce and perfect poached eggs. Deanne's omelette was terrific, so was her pancake --she said. Bill's Crab-Cake Eggs Benedict was just right. The coffee's were great, and the brunch cocktails were some of the best we encounter on our weekly brunch-hunt.. Kudos to you and your staff, Snooze.....“

“The food was delicious. We ordered stuffed shells. Dinner portion has 4 shells, stuffed with a very tasty ricotta filling that was not dried out like it sometimes can be. You could smell the fresh tomato sauce as soon as they set the food on the table. Perfect amount of sweetness to the sauce. It comes with a side and 2 garlic knots. We don't eat huge portions so we opted to share our entree which gives an extra soup, salad, or side plus more garlic knots for $6. We got a side salad, which was quite tiny, and a cup of pasta fagioli, obviously homemade, with a broth instead of a thicker soup. Also yummy. They don't serve alcohol but you can bring your own. I ordered a tiramisu to go. It was different than those I am used to from other places, but still tasty. More like a pie with cake layers instead of lady fingers, and I would like more mascarpone mousse on mine. Chocolate chips on top were not necessary but if you love chocolate, you might appreciate it. The only negative thought we had is that someone came by our table and was sweeping under the tables right next to us while we were sitting there. We were the only ones in the restaurant, and they could have held off or swept anywhere else while we dined.“

“I ordered takeout and got the pork intestine in dry pot, along with some hot and sour soup. The food was delicious! The dry pot was very flavorful, hearty and aromatic, perfect for a rainy day. I believe they use Szechuan peppercorn with this, as I had that nice mouth-numbing sensation. It could have been a little spicier for my liking, but that is my only remark (and I understand why they might take it easy on the spice to be safe).

The hot and sour soup was also yummy. It is one of my favorite dishes to order at a Chinese restaurant. I am pleased to say this is one of the better ones I've had! We'll definitely have to come dine in at some point in the future.“
