“I wanted to share my experience visiting “Bala Ice Cream” off hwy 61 north in Dallas.The shop is clean and well lit. Inspection score was excellent. Menu boards were easy to read and everything was priced. My pet peeve is seeing menu items without prices! Staff was super friendly and never rushed us, they even offered samples!They have excellent ice cream, but for me the shaved ice was the real surprise! Not to be confused with Sno-Cones (which they also sell), shaved ice is a frozen flavored milk based mixture. It’s frozen into a large cylinder that’s shaved to order. I had the rainbow version, with several flavors combined. Fluffy ribbons of mild light flavor! It’s topped with your choice (so many options!) of real fruit purée syrup.We are so excited to have this shop right around the corner, and can’t wait to try more flavors!“
“Always greeting with smiles, kind service, super clean place, food tastes fresh, and delicious, you can tell they care when they cook the food, hamburger's ingredients are neatly staked not thrown in the box like other places, heck even the chicken strips are all aligned. Keep it up. Thank you!!!“
“I was so hungry and I been up and about from one appointment to another. I only eat burger when I crave it but I had to swing by to satisfy my hunger. The service was good. The burger and fries were good as well. The sweet tea, not so much. It definitely want sweet tea. It wanted to be sweet tea but more sweet than tea. That was not tea lol. It was something sweet. After a sip, I knew I'll sipping on some water. Thank God I had my water bottle with me.“
“I just came from work with my friend and we were served by jack and Lindsay. They were the most selfless, kind, funny, and hard-working people I have ever met in my entire life. They were treating me with such respect and I really appreciated the service. I will definitely be coming here much more and I can only expect that the rest of the workers are just as kind, funny, selfless, and hard-working“
“The customer service was excellent. This is a family owned and operated business. They had at least 18 flavors, the lathe was 4 scoops for I think $7 not sure my daughter treated me. The ice cream was out of this world, creamy, flavourful, and it did not melt on the way home. This is definately a must visit ice cream shop and also a place to visit often“
“We walked in one minute before closing, immediately felt horrible and turned around to leave. Charles made sure we stayed and bought what we wanted. He was so pleasant and accommodating. I order their delicious cookies often but this is the first time trying the ice cream. My daughter loves the strawberry ice cream. Thank you Charles!!!“
“I love this cool well lit area to sit down with my younger brothers and enjoy a nice cup of frozen yogurt. However, finding out which pump is which is annoying, especially with all the flavors they have. Despite this, the clerk we had was especially nice and helpful offering us sample cups and giving my brother a sample of a topping he gas bever seen. She also gave me a great deal when she offered that I put my phone number in and I automatically got 2 dollars off!“

“This location is by far one of the best ones I’ve been to. The staff and management was phenomenal the restaurant was very clean, decorative, and welcoming. Went in to purchase a last minute ice cream cake I was pleased with the large selection of cakes that were made available along with the individual ice creams they have for sale. My experience at the Hiram location was very pleasing and the staff made me feel like I belong 10 out of 10 definitely recommend this location. I will always drive a bit out of my way for great customer service and great food.“
“My favorite place to go to for a sweet treat! Friendly staff, quick service & great prices! Theres sooo many flavors to choose from they even have a cooler with some of the flavors in a quart sized tub. I havent tried a flavor i don’t like. I definitely recommend this place, so delicious!!“
