“I'm down 50 lbs and decided to 'treat' myself. I was in the mood for a 'Turtle' apple and this spot showed up in both Google and Yelp suggestions. Ease of ordering I know that lots of places that sell candied apples only do so via custom requests so I tried calling to ask. No answer & when I told the owner I tried to call, she changed the subject. Lol. I don't think they take call-in orders. It IS a 1-person operation. I visited the website searching for answers, but the online menu is VERY sparse. So ... walk-in orders or UberEats / DoorDash online & delivery orders only (I think). Interior / Exterior They are in an older strip mall with City Farmers Market as the anchor store. This section of the parking lot is a bit dark, but no stars deducted since I'm sure that's a landlord thing. Like others have mentioned, there's a LOT going on in here. In addition to the sheer volume of signs, a lot of the signage has little handwritten post-it notes attached and the ice cream, Italian ice an cookie dough choices are made up of lots of cards. There are so many goodies - with the 'signage' situation, it can be super hard to figure out all the different offerings. Having said that, the place was well-lit and clean. I love that they have board games and I was excited to see that they were last year's 1st place winner / recipient of 'Taste of Marietta's Dangerously Delicious Dessert.' If I still had young children at home, I could definitely see us catching a movie (across the street) and coming here afterwards for ice cream or some other sweet treat. Price / Value I have to be honest - since I rarely purchase stuff like this, I really don't know if it's priced well. I think it is. Customer Service The owner greets EVERYONE with 'Welcome, Namaste' or 'Hello, Namaste.' LOVE this. I know SEVERAL people have made comments about her 'no cell phone use' policy and I gotta say: I love the policy. Life is hectic. I spend nearly my entire day tethered to a phone, laptop or tablet, so I genuinely love the idea of place that discourages our addiction to technology and provides a 'haven' away from technology. I had several questions and she patiently answered all of them. Food - See photos. I sampled - 1) the Candy Apple popcorn and the Caramel Candy Apple popcorn. The Caramel Candy Apple popcorn was definitely my favorite. Oddly enough - since we do, in fact, 'eat with our eyes.' I think I expected the Candied Apple popcorn to taste like a green apple / Granny Smith apple, since it's green. Lol. I think if it was red, like an actual candied apple, my brain and my tastebuds would have loved it. Lol. I ordered - 1) Banana Pudding Popcorn for my brother. I didn't sample it but he loves popcorn and he loves Nana Pudding, so it felt like a no-brainer. Lol. It even has little bits of vanilla wafer crumbles. 2) Naan pizza with chicken, kickin bourbon sauce - hold the cilantro. I love naan and had used the grocery store version to make a chicken and spinach flatbread pizza a few days ago. I haven't had fresh naan in years and I'm still mad at Bharathi and Aparna for introducing it to me. Carbs are my enemy. Lol. And I'm still mad that Tandoor Restaurant on Powers Ferry Rd closed their doors because their naan was AMAZING. But I digress... This was just 'ok.' I think others will love this, but for me, there was too much sauce and not enough of the delicious chicken. There was so much sauce that it was hard to taste much else. 3) Turtle apple slices. They don't sell candied, chocolate or caramel apples. Instead, they sell apple slices. Lola explained that making apples in batches was time consuming and not profitable because of shelf life. I decided on Turtle slices since that's what I was searching for to begin with. Slices looked beautiful but since I didn't care for the chocolate, I wound up trying one during my visit and stashing the rest in the fridge for J.“
“We visited Alumni Cookie Dough last night for the first time. We were in the mood for ice cream, but decided to give Alumni a try because we saw that they have both ice cream and cookie dough. The owner was really nice and suggested we sample some of the flavors of cookie dough. I think they had 15-18 different flavors! I tried the strawberry shortcake (my favorite by far!), cookies and cream, and birthday bash. They have vanilla or chocolate ice cream, and you can get cookie dough or ice cream by the scoop (or a combo of the two), or they can mix them together on a marble slab. They also do milkshakes. My husband got a milkshake with chocolate ice cream and chocolate lovers cookie dough, and it was delicious. I did the ice cream and cookie dough mixed up, with vanilla ice cream and strawberry shortcake cookie dough. I think the owner said the strawberry was a special flavor, but I hope they decide to keep it because it's that good!“
“The cookies are delicious! I buy most of the time 3 times a month for 12. But recently I've been going to this store and I'm not finding certain cookies and it doesn't warn me that they're out of stock, and I have to cancel! I think the company should let you know which one they have before purchasing.“
“This is the real definition of a hidden gem! The shopping center is unassuming, but honestly -- a lot of the places looked really good! We immediately noticed the family style seating at this spot. It's bright, lots of color, great decor, and even some claw/candy machines for kids! The menu is expansive, far beyond just sweets! We had horchata, piña colada, and mango chamoyada, ramen, and honestly so much more I can't even remember -- it was really hard to choose. Ramiro and his wife are both so sweet and accommodating, the other staff do an amazing job as well. It didn't take too long for the order to come out, and it did not disappoint, we brought so much home with us too!“
“I had very good ice cream here and the service was great. A young man served me I think his name was Evan and he was very kind and got my ice cream quick. The bathroom is very clean and the place was tidy. Lots of seatings and kind staff like Evan.“
“I only got one thing and I’m still happy that i decided to go here. Right now it’s summer time and this place is perfect for the summer they have delicious fresh fruit with mangonadas , popsicles and so much more things! I definitely would recommend this place to a lot of people!“
“I would give it 5 stars if the ice cream were homemade/made by owners but from what I can tell it's bought from the Hershey brand. One thing that endlessly impresses me is the manners of all the very young adults who work here. They've all been incredibly respectful and kind which is absolutely rare in teenagers nowadays... coming from a 24 yr old... Would recommend!!!!“
“Stopped in for Hot chocolate on a cold evening since It was too cold for icecream and the service was amazing. The young girl at the register was friendly and upbeat. She mad it with warm milk, so it was very tasty, the girls loved it.Only wish they played holiday music over some.speakers or a bluetooth to male it feel more holiday-ish. Still overall Its still an amazing spot in the square!“
“It was my first time trying Boba! I had the pleasure of being served by Courtney! She was very patient with me and gave me a lot of recommendations! I was surprised at how it tasted! I recommend this place and kudos to Courtney on her great service!“
“This is a hidden gem of downtown Marietta! Parking is atrocious, that’s about the only downside. I saw a Facebook video for Mexican fruit ice pops and just had to have them, so after looking up the name of the fruit pops, paletas in case you wanted to know, I came across this place. The website can be found via their Facebook page, just FYI, and while you can call, there was no one that was fluent in English, but I am not complaining. Truthfully this is a place you need to go into and see the different options they have. If you are vegan you are probably out of luck, and vegetarians, (my manager went with me so I can confirm this), you are limited to jalapeño and cheese tamales and desert, but for everyone else like myself enjoy! There are two types of paletas, and the second one might actually go by another name, so please excuse me if I am uneducated culturally on what it is called specifically, but it is basically the same thing as the fruit water and sugar ice pop but instead of water they use milk, (and I’m pretty sure cream cheese too), and less fruit. Personally I liked the regular ice pop more, but your choice. Also, the regular ice pops have toppings you can put on them. No, not sprinkles, though they may have them, but in this case lémon juice, and chili powder. Evidently this is not supposed to go on the milk ice pops, their direction, not mine. So I got one of each, then my manager and I got 6 jalapeño and cheese tamales that were very authentic, and had just the right amount of heat. She got flan, which, I can honestly say is the best I’ve ever had. Traditional flan always seems to have this film around it, this one did not, nor was it overly sweet which I really appreciated. I also got fruit punch fruit drink, which is about the best think you will ever have under the sun, and yes you can sample them, and yes there is more than one! I’m getting happy just typing this up! I also got the torta de jámon, which is essentially and Mexican Cuban sandwich. All together everything was about $25, and ladies and gentlemen, in my humble opinion, you just can’t beat that!“
“This establishment is just a few steps from my gym. I have been curious about it but hadn't tried it yet because of some of the previous reviews. I'm so glad that I followed my own instincts. Everything was absolutely delicious! I bought a smoothie because I had just finished up my workout. I actually stopped my workout a little early, so that I could catch them before they closed at 6:30pm to order dinner. In spite of my coming in to order 15min before the young man couldn't have been nicer. Everything was a bit pricey in my opinion but it was worth the splurge to me. I'd go again another time!“
“I don't typically leave reviews, but the cupcakes at Smallcakes are incredible. Great variety of flavors. A box of a dozen makes a great gift. The staff is friendly and helpful. I also recommend their coffee. BTW, they also make ice cream. Highly recommended...will be back.“
“Ice creamed when I found out how close we lived to Brusters. They have so many awesome flavors and they are anything but vanilla. Aldough you may have concerns about crowds on a weekend, the staff is really friendly and they don’t conedone rude customers. My favorite time to go is at the end of a weekend, on a sundae.“
“Love our local Bruster's! They have yummy flavors and switch it out enough to keep things interesting. They messed up on my order last time, and instead of chucking the wrong flavor, they added the correct flavor to it! Extra ice cream at no extra cost is always a plus. Haha The seasonal peppermint stick flavor is a must-have.“
“Maybe I'm biased, but the staff is wonderful. Food is hot and drinks are delicious. I like that they have healthy options. Very clean and stocked. Owners are very kind and dedicated to their job. I love Mrs. Vicky !!! She reminds me of my mother. WOOOOO!!!!!!“
“First, I want to thank Trevor for the awesome customer service that he provided. He was very friendly and professional. He welcomed me with a smile and was able to answer my questions about the menu. He was patient and made sure that I had a great experience. He thanked me for coming in. I would rate him a 10. I will most definitely go back again.“
“This place feels like one that offers an authentic Mexican dessert experience,in addition to sporting Street food that is lovingly hand made. I had the strawberry and cream, which had little chunks of cheese cake with ice cream and frozen strawberries. They did not stint the berries! I look forward to going back soon. If you are looking for something that is tasty and perhaps expands your tastes past the typical, this is the place for you.“
“I feel like I learned so much during my visit here. I was a little worried at first about visiting because I don't speak much Spanish this proved to not be an issue. While the menu options were mainly listed in Spanish, there were lots of pictures to go with it. There was also English speaking staff present. We tried a mixed very slush and the coffee ice cream. Everything with made with attention to detail and by hand. There are so many other things I want to try on the menu and can't wait to go back!I will also add that everyone visiting there was so happy after they received their cool treats. We had conversations with several folks as we sat just outside to eat the ice cream.“
“This is your typical Baskin Robbins/Dunkin Donuts location. Everyone is always friendly, it's always clean and there is always room to chill when you have time to kill. I like to stop here for a quick coffee or for dessert after dining at Cazadores Mexican Restaurant across the street (left a good review for them too). Tonight I got a scoop of World Class Chocolate and my date got a scoup of Praline Carmel. I am never disappointed by Ice Cream at Baskin Robbins. They always take my coupons and discounts if I find any.“
“Absolutely LOVE this cute coffee shop! The decor is so pretty - perfect for a ladies' meet-up. There are also tables outside. The coffee is great - and the almond cake is delicious. My favourite place to stop for a cappuccino & a cake.“
