“We stumbled across this ice cream place by driving by during a visit from out of town. Little did we know they were 1 minute away from closing - we got to the window and realized that it was 1 minute from closing so we were just going to leave (never want to be "those" people) - The lady inside insisted on serving us and told us that it was no problem at all. We chatted while she was scooping our ice cream and learned that she was the owner here and has been in business many years. Our ice cream was SO good and priced well! “We visited Alumni Cookie Dough last night for the first time. We were in the mood for ice cream, but decided to give Alumni a try because we saw that they have both ice cream and cookie dough. The owner was really nice and suggested we sample some of the flavors of cookie dough. I think they had 15-18 different flavors! I tried the strawberry shortcake (my favorite by far!), cookies and cream, and birthday bash. They have vanilla or chocolate ice cream, and you can get cookie dough or ice cream by the scoop (or a combo of the two), or they can mix them together on a marble slab. They also do milkshakes. My husband got a milkshake with chocolate ice cream and chocolate lovers cookie dough, and it was delicious. I did the ice cream and cookie dough mixed up, with vanilla ice cream and strawberry shortcake cookie dough. I think the owner said the strawberry was a special flavor, but I hope they decide to keep it because it's that good!“

That said, this ice cream is such a great consistency, no matter what flavor you order. They folks working there are nice, friendly, and give you the option to sample flavors. I like that adults can also opt for the kid's cup/cone, so you can just have a small portion if you're already full from dinner.“

I googled the difference in ice cream and gelato - ice cream uses more cream / gelato used more milk. And that's what this tasted like, not as creamy. I had several types in Italy and I don't remember the disparity in feeling, even at some of the local spots. This might be more of a preference for me vs the product. The add ins that made the flavor were high quality.“

Their ice cream selection changes regularly, so make sure to come and taste them all. Which brings me to my next point... the staff is there to help.., but also, to let you sample all of the flavors you want. My favorite ice cream is the darkest chocolate flavor. Creamy and chocolaty. “We actually went to the 3 peaches in the municipal market and to this location. We were HOOKED on the taste of this coffee. Absolutely delicious drinks and pastries! We tried the affogato, the beet rose latte, and the mocha shroom latte (most likely not the exact name haha). Everything was PHENOMENAL. The customer service was unforgettable— 10 out of 10. The shop was super clean and had such a beautiful set up. We were attended by Kendra and she was super informative, patient and kind. Definitely will be coming back to this gem. “We visited The Yard Milkshake Bar after my son’s swim meet for a nice treat. When we walked in, the smell was the first thing that hit us - it was heavenly. The team working the counter greeted us and showed us how to find the “secret menu.” After reading over the extensive menu with so many fun options, we decided to share a special holiday shake just in time for Halloween!!! This was the BEST milkshake either of us have ever had and we will be back for more!“

“We finally visited the lab for yummy Icecream on a hot day. It was such a good choice. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was very welcoming as customers and staff spoke and greeted one another. My daughter had the dirty worms, her friend the chocolate chip cookie dough and I had the salted caramel all were a respective hit. They weren’t overly rich and tasted light. The waffle cone was the perfect consistency and really tasty. We give the Kream Lab two thumbs up“

“I don't know why it's taken me so long to rate Southern Custard.Since I've moved to Atlanta I've been to Southern Custard probably 20+ times. It is BY FAR the best Custard I've ever had.They have vanilla and chocolate on every day, and then each day they rotate a special flavor once per month. So make sure you look at their flavor calendar and plan accordingly.They make their own waffle bowls and cones, which are my absolute favorite.They also have Poffertjes, which are small Dutch pancakes with Custard. They are delicious if you want to try something a little different.Friendly staff, but it can get quite busy sometimes so plan accordingly.“
