Had to stay here for an extended period due to family member being in the hospital (hint, ask the desk for the hospital rate if that’s why you’re there, it may be a better rate than the one you can get online—not always though). Only one of us would come shower/nap while the other was at the hospital so didn’t spend a lot of time in the room but when there, the bed was comfortable and the lights were good. My family held a family reunion at this Courtyard hotel July 7-9. The hotel staff and event service were incredibly awesome! First, the hotel itself is in an excellent location for visitors to the Atlanta area, because the hotel is in the heart of Decatur with plenty of walkability to shops and restaurants. Although this is a small lobby restaurant in the Marriott, don't look past their signature Cherry Old Fashioned - wow! A class A cocktail and a wonderful bartender who made them just right ! Ordered Chimichurri steak and there seems to be a difference of opinion on medium rare (mine was bright red even after sending back) but the service (by same named awesome bartender ) was wonderful and truly made our experience the best - i only wish I would have asked her name for this review...read full review
