Honestly not bad. It wasn't the best Italian I've ever had, but it certainly wasn't the worst. I think the green tomatoes could have used salt, but I enjoyed my pasta. A little bit expensive, but there are much more expensive places in town serving much simpler dishes. I do think you guys could benefit from getting one of those cheese graters with a crank for fresh grated parmesan. I've got one and not only is it awesome, but it makes Alfredo a breeze. Good food. Nice restaurant. Hours are next to none, so get in when ya can.
We got Charlie’s on our way into Ellijay, very friendly and fast service on our to go order! The chicken parm was incredible. The cheese was broiled perfectly and had the right amount of sauce. We also got the Cajun pasta and it was also really good with a little kick. We will absolutely be back!

Charlie's Italian Restaurant offers decent food with good service, but some dishes may come at a higher price than expected. The spaghetti is simple but tasty, especially the meatballs that are a hit with kids. The garlic bread is hot and slightly over salted, but enjoyable. The pizza options, like the 12” specialty and child's pepperoni, are good but could use some added flavor in the dough. The sweet tea is just right, and the wine servings are generous. The Caesar salad is decent but heavy on dressing. The atmosphere is very "homelike" and the place feels welcoming. The restaurant is often quiet on a Friday night, making it a nice spot for a relaxing dinner. The staff, including the waitress Tracy R and a very nice lady who brought out the food, provide excellent service. Meals such as the lasagna manicotti combo and ribeye are good, though portions may be smaller than expected for the price. Overall, Charlie's is a crowd-pleaser with a good menu selection and a very nice atmosphere, despite occasional food quality misses and prices that can be on the higher side, with a bill for four people easily reaching three digits.
