I always recommend Pooles Bar B Que, for the food and service. My guests enjoy as well. You cannot find better brisket especially. If you dine in, most likely have to get to go boxes, because portion’s are generous. Last month I came as they closing and the employees let me order to go. We had pulled pork sandwiches. Pork was very flavorful, vinegar based slaw a perfect addition, buns from a local bakery - delicious! We had fried okra as a side - some of the best I’ve ever eaten. Staff very friendly!
Growing up we always made it a point to stop and get bbq here! I never could remember the name of the restaurant and would describe it t my parents/grandparents as the bbq place with the pigs on the hill.
