“We have a weekly breakfast date with our family at The Smokehouse Country Grill. We love the food, but the service is excellent. We ask for Kassie each week. She is always so helpful and on point with anything we need! We love interacting with her as well. She is so sweet and kind and keeps our mean one (Dean Floyd) in check! LOL! “I wish I can give this place 5 stars, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet all of our expectations. And that’s for one simple reason. We were in the area from Florida and decided to stop in, not realizing they close at 3 pm. It was 2:50 pm and I’m sure this has a lot to do with it. Our food was cold and the bread was hard :( I know the Mac and cheese would’ve been delicious if it was warm. I’m not sure if the bbq meat (brisket or ribs) are typically served warm or room temperature, but they were also not fresh per se. The flavor was great though. Now, my kid’s grilled cheese and cheesy fries were freshly made. I just wish the rest of the food was, too. I couldn’t find it in my heart to complain because I know they were closing soon. But I do wish I could’ve tasted the food fresh and warm like it’s meant to be. Cool decor and yummy sauces though.“
“I had the chicken liver plate with fries and okra. It was great! My Wife and one of my Nieces had the pulled pork sandwich. My other Niece had the chicken tenders. They were hugh!!! Great food amazing service we will definitely stop by again.“
“We were visiting from Florida and stumbled across this gem. BEST biscuit sandwiches we've ever had, anywhere!! You could tell the biscuits were handmade and fresh. Friendly staff, seemed to really enjoy their jobs. Without a doubt add this place to your must visit while here.“
“A club I'm part has meetings here, that's how found it. I began stopping for take out to eat in car with my dog on my way back from Georgia events returning to Murphy.For the type Restaurant The Shack is I would give a 5 but the food is inconsistent, I like the chicken strips and I've stopped and they were out, I had a Hot Dog that was horrendous. Sometimes fries have been cold, the chicken strips have been consistently good. Employees appear to be happy and atmosphere is laid back. Yes I still stop because most of the time it's very good eatin.“
“The food was as tasty as ever, however both steaks were undercooked. Wife ordered medium filet and it was close to rare. I ordered the ribeye medium rare and it too was rare. I don’t mind rare but my wife didn’t like hers undercooked. Service and staff were as usual great. Food prep was probably a new cook.“
