“We took an opportunity to try the Gritz Cafe and really enjoyed it. The building, though rebuilt from a fire, gave a feeling of an old structure that had been lovingly maintained. My wife had the fried green tomatoes BLT and I had the burger. They certainly don't skimp on the portion size and they tasted great. The menu listed tiramisu and several other desserts which we had to skip due to those large portions. Lauren served us and she was a true gem. We will be back when time permits.“

“The food was good, the cashier ruined the whole thing. My bill was $35 and change. I put 2 20s on the counter in front of the waiter. She said "put it in my ". I said ma'am? She said it again. I put it in her hand without thinking. She was thinking Black and White. There will not a next at this restaurant. She was a small black lady with hair below with gold streaks.“
