“A jewel of a spot! I happened upon Paper Plane while looking for a “family friendly” dinner spot on Friday. I was so pleasantly surprised when I peeped in for a sec. Well I was welcomed and shown around thinking it looked to Posh to bring a two year old, but the manager said “oh we’re family friendly here come on in”! So we dined on DELICIOUS food with many great Vegetarian options, and Sage the “ticky” toddler cleaned his plate, and had a ball playing in the outdoor space! Terrel provided excellent service for our family and out of town guest, I am a FAN!“

“We visited The Red Phone Booth on 6/15 while in town for my cousin’s graduation. What no one knew was that I had just placed my mom on hospice and we had lost a cousin the same day—her sister and my mom’s baby sister were with us. Even in the middle of all that pain, we were shown such kindness. Sophia was amazing, and I even played pool with a member who didn’t know I could barely hold a cue. “The atmosphere was super fun and unique - we loved the skeleton character seen throughout the menu and branding, as well as the eclectic and cool decor found throughout the restaurant. Not only was the restaurant full of character, the menu was full of unique and delicious items too. From a classic wedge salad, to the unexpected sweet and sour chargrilled pork steak, and the lemon-cornmeal cake for dessert, everything tasted amazing; every plate left our table completely cleared. To top it all off, the drinks were delicious too! Perfect mixes of flavor and the right amount of buzz, we could not be happier with our experience at the Ticonderoga Club.

Every staff member was friendly and courteous. Big shoutouts and thank you’s to Franny, our server, who was super attentive and gave us fantastic menu recommendations, as well as Greg for making our experience extra special (as well as being one of the folks we can thank for bringing this place to life).

“I really really want to love the Ranger Station. However I can’t say I absolutely love it. The atmosphere is great and has so much potential but with its size it tends to be very very loud with their music and their live music. Their drinks are good and have great potential to get better, they tend to use a lot of pineapple in most their drinks. I would go again to show visitors but it’s not my top place. However if you go you should definitely try their house infused vanilla chartreuse!“

“Went to this place wanting to love it which speaks a good bit for how big of a letdown it was. Night started out great host was super friendly came to pick us up from 9 mile station, once got in the bar god first round of drinks and that's where it started to go south. First round was fine no issues, ordered second round and it took almost an hour to get drinks, so once second round came out went ahead and ordered third knowing how long it was taking (was told bar was backed up due to a bachelor party that showed up of 5 or 6 people and there was probably only 20-30 people in the bar so didn't really make sense given the number of people on staff) second round I had heard about how the bartenders will make you a drink based off your taste which was the main appeal to this place ,so first drink was a maple old fashion, so second drink I told them I wanted to get something else based off maple.....they served me the exact same drink with a different brand of rye but added a $3 freestyle upcharge....finally had enough waiting after 2 and a half hours and only getting 3 or 4 drinks and actually went up to the bar to ask for the check since had gotten really burnt out on long wait times and the long stretches of I just want another drink....overall last drink was by far the best and would have liked another but the speed of the service at that point had totally killed the mood. Place 100% does not match the vibe they are trying to present so highly recommend going elsewhere which is sad because loved the concept“

We all thought the more common taller heating elements would have worked better. The steak and sauces were tasty and the frites were divine. That said, don't think I need to go back.“

What's better, the menu is constantly changing, so there is always something new to try. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the inside has a very cozy, intimate feel. “Lantana has always been my go-to spot, especially because of Wendy. The service is consistently great, the food is always delicious, and the drinks are a perfect 10 out of 10. I’ve been coming here for years, so I was a little disappointed not to see Wendy this time. I actually decided not to stay because, honestly, I’m not familiar with the other staff.

“My husband and I was looking for some place new to go for dinner and i found this place on the internet. We had never heard of it and it was close to our home so we decided to check it out. The set up is nice. I believe there are 3 or 4 dinning rooms. The staff was really nice and very attentive. We didnt make any reservations which they do prefer but they sat us still without a wait. The drinks were really good and they did not hold out on the amount of alcohol. Now the dinner. OMG Dinner was off the chain. I tip my hat off to the chef. I had the Honey Glaze Salmon and my husband is vegan so he had The Smoked spinach Asparagus Mashed potatoes and Brocolini. When I tell you this had to be the best food with so much flavor. We were more then pleased. The only complaint we have is the music got really loud. If couldnt hear each other even if you are sitting right next o each other. But other then that I will definitely return and I must say I am adding this to my list of best restaurants in Atlanta.“

Highly recommend this restaurant and even got to talk directly with the owner/head chef Bill! If you are in the area or even if not make the drive, it will be well worth it!!! Neighborhood where it is located, Inman Park, is very nice as well with lots of walk-ability and less than 2 miles from downtown Atlanta, so make it a day or weekend trip.“

Now, when we went as a group, we were served family style apps and entrees. We had their hummus, Greek salad, and an eggplant dish that had a nice kick to it for starters. Dinner was salmon over coucous, rice cakes, grilled asparagus, and amazing airline chicken dish, their 8hour bolognese, and one other dish I can’t remember but all were incredible. “Parking is a mess for dinner on a late Friday night but it was worth the hassle. We parked on the streets in the neighborhoods and got a drink at the bar before our reservation. The drinks were great and the space is nice! The food was DELICIOUS. I would 100% recommend starting with the fry bread with pepperoni butter. That is a must have and the Japanese sweet potatoes are hands down the best sweet potatoes I’ve ever had. The Duck + fig plate I had was delicious and I’m glad I have leftovers. The Vegan Goods were good but nothing to die over. And finally the matcha crème Brûlée was good!“

Arriving about 20 minutes early as traffic happened to be light, we were able to be seated early without any issues. Upon entering the restaurant the hallway decor captures your attention as you focus on the selected hues of blue and artwork placement. Upon being seated we were immediately greeted by Cindy. Cindy arrived all smiles coupled with a huge personality and warm welcome. As this was our first time she took a moment to explain to us the menu selections, geographical inspiration, as well as answer the few questions we had about select items. Cindy’s education of the menu and experience with the foods added to the food deciding experience. Major shout out to Cindy. The ambiance of the restaurant is high energy, captivating and explorative. As you look around the restaurant it puts you in the mindset of being inside one of the classic true to theme castles in an Indiana Jones or Tomb Raider movie. LoL! At any moment Laura Croft could walk in and grab one of the items on display and head out for her next mission. LoL! I decided on the String Beans with a side of Mexican Rice and I was more than satisfied with the flavor profile of my meal. The string beans were flavor stacked with the slight sweet from the sauce and the spice from the peppers. The texture was spot on for a true sautéed experience as well as the portion was perfect… The Mexican rice paired well with the string beans as it provided a texture variation as well as it was seasoned well but not overpowering in comparison to the string beans. This was truly a 10/10 experience. The service, the environment, and the food were all superb. Whether for a personal 2 person dinner or after work friend vibe, The Consulate is truly a must try for any occasion.“
