“A hidden gem you do not want to miss—JUST GO! You will not be disappointed. After reading about the opening of Folk Art in Hapeville, GA, and carefully studying their menu from my hometown in Savannah, I knew I had no choice but to make the trip. And let me tell you—it was worth every mile of that four-hour drive. I’d happily do it again just to eat here. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed into a warm, inviting space filled with love, laughter, and the mouthwatering aroma of incredible food. The atmosphere strikes a rare balance—elevated like fine dining, yet comforting like a small-town kitchen. I don’t know how they pulled it off, but they did. Every member of the team was not only professional but made you feel like part of the family. And the food… oh my God, the food! The menu is a stunning blend of elevated Southern comfort and inventive American classics. Each dish is perfectly executed, the portions are generous, and most importantly—everything is absolutely delicious. Don’t forget about the bar—their expertly crafted cocktails are absolutely on point, especially on a warm summer day! Folk Art Hapeville also hosts public events like live music and after-hours Drag Bingo. Finally, a place that truly has it all—and makes everyone feel welcome. There really are no words to capture how special this place is. Hapeville is lucky to have it, and I sincerely hope they bring another location to Savannah!“

“This place is delicious! Everything we had was soooo delicious. The brisket sliders and strawberry banana pudding made it worth driving from Columbus. We also had the fried green tomatoes, a garden salad with fried chicken and a side of Mac n cheese which were all good as well. We definitely will be swinging back in when we come back to Atalanta.“

“A jewel of a spot! I happened upon Paper Plane while looking for a “family friendly” dinner spot on Friday. I was so pleasantly surprised when I peeped in for a sec. Well I was welcomed and shown around thinking it looked to Posh to bring a two year old, but the manager said “oh we’re family friendly here come on in”! So we dined on DELICIOUS food with many great Vegetarian options, and Sage the “ticky” toddler cleaned his plate, and had a ball playing in the outdoor space! Terrel provided excellent service for our family and out of town guest, I am a FAN!“

“Went to this place wanting to love it which speaks a good bit for how big of a letdown it was. Night started out great host was super friendly came to pick us up from 9 mile station, once got in the bar god first round of drinks and that's where it started to go south. First round was fine no issues, ordered second round and it took almost an hour to get drinks, so once second round came out went ahead and ordered third knowing how long it was taking (was told bar was backed up due to a bachelor party that showed up of 5 or 6 people and there was probably only 20-30 people in the bar so didn't really make sense given the number of people on staff) second round I had heard about how the bartenders will make you a drink based off your taste which was the main appeal to this place ,so first drink was a maple old fashion, so second drink I told them I wanted to get something else based off maple.....they served me the exact same drink with a different brand of rye but added a $3 freestyle upcharge....finally had enough waiting after 2 and a half hours and only getting 3 or 4 drinks and actually went up to the bar to ask for the check since had gotten really burnt out on long wait times and the long stretches of I just want another drink....overall last drink was by far the best and would have liked another but the speed of the service at that point had totally killed the mood. Place 100% does not match the vibe they are trying to present so highly recommend going elsewhere which is sad because loved the concept“

“July 05, 2025 Greetings, This evening, I had the opportunity to celebrate my 40th birthday, and to mark the occasion, my partner and I chose to dine at a fine dining establishment in downtown Atlanta. Regrettably, after we visited your downtown Atlanta location, it became clear that my hope for an outstanding dining experience was unlikely to be met. Upon our arrival, we had to wait despite having made a reservation several hours earlier. Eventually, we were seated at a table no larger than a nightstand. I immediately observed that, unlike the other tables, the candle on ours was unlit. This should have served as an indication of the service to follow. Once seated, we were presented with the menu and asked for two sweet teas. Soon after, we placed our orders. After waiting twenty minutes, we realized that our drinks had been forgotten. We subsequently reminded our waitress that we had ordered two sweet iced teas. After an additional ten minutes, our drinks arrived. Fifteen minutes later, our food finally arrived. Upon its arrival, I noticed a sticky substance around the $75 steak I had ordered. After considerable effort to cut into it, I tasted the meat and found it to be overcooked—its flavor reminiscent of a meal unintentionally left on the grill by an intoxicated cook. It was unsatisfactory, and I requested a remake. At this point, we had spent over an hour at your restaurant, and the staff began cleaning up. Finally, around 12:05 a.m., the re-cooked steak was brought out. Although it was an improvement over the first, it still did not merit the price of $75. Given that my potatoes were cold and the minimal ice in my refilled iced tea had melted, I opted to forgo the steak altogether. My partner, who is more willing to accept mediocre service, encouraged me to take the steak back to the hotel, which led us to request a to-go box. Ten minutes later, we received a small cardboard box, barely big enough for my food. Further, we were not offered anything to carry the sauce in, utensils, or even a bag. Shortly after, we received our bill, which totaled approximately $195.00, excluding gratuity. At that moment, I was overwhelmed with emotion and informed my partner that I needed a few minutes outside to collect my thoughts. I found it challenging to rationalize $200 for a meal arguably valued at $20 and customer service worth $10. Despite my objections, my partner insisted on refraining from discussing this matter with a manager. He wanted to avoid any conflict on my birthday. While I appreciate his noble intentions, I possess a strong aversion to inequality in any form. The treatment we received in an establishment that professes luxury and exemplary customer service was inadequate and perhaps a sign of your treatment towards Minority LGBT customers. We deserved a better experience. Although my birthday weekend was great, this experience was horrible. I am genuinely disappointed with my visit to your Atlanta location. I would have had a more satisfying experience at a more casual establishment, such as Texas Roadhouse, for a fraction of the costû. Sincerely, Gregory A. Reid Jr. Brandon F. Williams“

“Super cool speakeasy in Colony Square’s food court (past the restrooms). We went without a reservation right when it opened (around 5pm) and were able to be seated quickly. They have an extensive menu of drinks, with detailed descriptions and names of the creators of each drink. I got the Tampa cocktail, which was pretty strong (our waiter suggested we mix in the pina colada foam). The ambiance was super cool — very retro, with different posters and art hung up to match the vibe, as well as a dance floor in the back. Service was good, although a bit slower than expected.“

“Came here to kick off my best friends bachelorette and it did not disappoint. The service was amazing, Frannie was our server and she was excellent even took the time to memorize all of our names. We all ordered different plates so that we could share and try everything and every single thing we ordered was delicious. The duck deserves an honorable mention, it was cooked to literal perfection. The cocktails were delicious as well. Atmosphere was very neat. We will definitely be back!“

“The absolutely greatest thing about Anansi is the music that can often take you to the best places sonically. I’m a music head so I can’t say enough about that.
Now…layer on an atmosphere that provides an endless amount of things to catch your eye and it feels cozy at the same time 😌.
And if both of those things weren’t enough, the DRINKS!!! 🤩 are delivered wrapped in phenomenal service and craftsmanship.
If you found this gem of a bar, then consider yourself to be one of the lucky ones. Great spot! 10/10 highly recommend lol“
“This was a great experience with extremely delicious food! Sasha was phenomenal and really explained the flavoring for each dish and drink down to the tee!!!!

“We visited The Red Phone Booth on 6/15 while in town for my cousin’s graduation. What no one knew was that I had just placed my mom on hospice and we had lost a cousin the same day—her sister and my mom’s baby sister were with us. Even in the middle of all that pain, we were shown such kindness. Sophia was amazing, and I even played pool with a member who didn’t know I could barely hold a cue. We didn’t look like what we were going through—but that night gave us joy we truly needed. Thank you for a beautiful experience. We’ll be back. ❤️“

“Live nearby and finally decided to walk over and give it a try. Had the Sunday fish special gumbo and I have to say, the rue was the most flavorful I've ever had! I've been to New Orleans several times and never had gumbo as complex and smooth as this.
The people were friendly and relaxed. Small neighborhood gem for sure.“

“My husband and I was looking for some place new to go for dinner and i found this place on the internet. We had never heard of it and it was close to our home so we decided to check it out. The set up is nice. I believe there are 3 or 4 dinning rooms. The staff was really nice and very attentive. We didnt make any reservations which they do prefer but they sat us still without a wait. The drinks were really good and they did not hold out on the amount of alcohol. Now the dinner. OMG Dinner was off the chain. I tip my hat off to the chef. I had the Honey Glaze Salmon and my husband is vegan so he had The Smoked spinach Asparagus Mashed potatoes and Brocolini. When I tell you this had to be the best food with so much flavor. We were more then pleased. The only complaint we have is the music got really loud. If couldnt hear each other even if you are sitting right next o each other. But other then that I will definitely return and I must say I am adding this to my list of best restaurants in Atlanta.“

“Lots of great art to look at on all 3 floors, cozy spaces to sit and enjoy the mocktails, and ambiance is on point. Mocktails are very flavorful but a little pricey, I spent 20 bucks (after automatic tip) on 1 drink. Other neighborhood bars serving alcohol are cheaper. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.“

Excellent main dishes halibut, herb crusted lamp chops and filet. Healthy options available for vegetarians too! Great salads. Servers and fire dancers were an added bonus because they were fun and very friendly/helpful. (Managers could be friendlier.) Overall restaurant ambiance beautiful and eclectic. $25 fee for bringing our own birthday cake a bit ridiculous! Parking convenient $4 Parking fee expected but offers convenience to customers. Our total experience for party of 8 was amazing!“

“Rumis is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. Everything on the menu is outstanding. This time we got the Waygu kabob and it was the best thing I’ve had there though my go to is the lamb kabob. The rice with the raisins is my favorite thing in the menu. Service is also top notch. They are always buzzing around the table and they treat you like a fine dining restaurant. If you want to hang and eat at the bar, also a great option when traveling and alone. I’m a Rumis fan boy for sure.“

“Great location if you live in the neighborhood or one of the neighboring areas. Parking is limited, so if you can uber, walk or take transit it is recommended. The bartenders are great! They can make pretty much anything with a broad selection of bitters, mixers and fruits at their disposal. They can't make lychee martinis though, but that was a rare ask anyway.
The food is delicious. They are all elevated childhood favorites. The meatloaf sandwich and bologna sandwich are my absolute favorites.
Vegetarian options: The vegetarian options are very limited. Everything has some type of cheese or meat included in the dish. However, you are able to remove some of them since the items are made to order.
Parking: Very limited onsite parking. Better to park in the neighborhood if you drive to the bar.“

“Had a wonderful experience with my husband at Bread & Butterfly this morning/afternoon for brunch! Food was amazing, atmosphere was inviting and service was impeccable!!! Highly recommend this restaurant and even got to talk directly with the owner/head chef Bill! If you are in the area or even if not make the drive, it will be well worth it!!! Neighborhood where it is located, Inman Park, is very nice as well with lots of walk-ability and less than 2 miles from downtown Atlanta, so make it a day or weekend trip.“

“Really cool tucked away bar along the belt line in Atlanta! Heard about this place online and had to go while in town for a couple days. Was in a cool, happening area and loved that it was tucked away in a brewery. They had a DJ going (chill vibes) and the cocktails were great. Very swanky spot! Only downside is they close super early for a bar and it was freezing inside.“
“I'm a photographer who loves hidden gems and this place is such a great hangout spot! I 100% recommend getting the strong lemonade drink they have to offer. Heather was on her 3rd day bartending and she hooked us up with this amazing red sweetener liquor that made the drink perfect. Thanks Heather!“

“Tiramisu is worth the hype. Steak was cooked really well although they didn't ask for preference. Not a full bar so limited drinks for cocktails. The polenta cakes were fine, crispy potatoes were surprisingly good. Biggest complaint is service - just didn't feel very attentive in general. “Bar Blanc is heaven on earth for lovers of the venerable French classic – steak and frites. For a fixed $49.99 price tag, you get amazingly juicy steak accompanied by the traditional bearnaise sauce, superbly crispy fries, a very good baguette, and a salad to boot. It was all exceptional. Since we don’t drink, I can’t comment on the alcohol being served, but the many patrons seemed to be enjoying themselves considerably. While it’s a small bar, the ambiance is charming and somewhat hip. And the service was top-notch. Since they don’t take reservations, I’d recommend arriving early, otherwise be prepared for a long wait. We arrived with a party of nine people and had a great evening. Interestingly enough, I loved the fries the most. The steak was excellent, but the fries were some of the best I’ve ever tried. Thick and very crunchy, just like the doctor ordered. Will coming back very soon!“

“My fellow traveler and I stopped by on our way home to Virginia. It was a long day of travel, delayed flights, we just wanted to sit down and chill. We didn’t expect much out of an airport restaurant… But we were both blown away. Our server, Tarvis, was charming, professional, knowledgeable, and exceptional. The BLT with bacon jam, and the rice pudding with cinnamon and peaches was superb. (I could’ve eaten a whole jar of the bacon jam.) Tarvis, thank you for making two weary travelers leave your restaurant with pep in their step Keep on shining your light. And to any traveler who is leery of a place that serves a hamburger and a sushi roll… Fear not. This place is great.“
