“My husband and I was looking for some place new to go for dinner and i found this place on the internet. We had never heard of it and it was close to our home so we decided to check it out. The set up is nice. I believe there are 3 or 4 dinning rooms. The staff was really nice and very attentive. We didnt make any reservations which they do prefer but they sat us still without a wait. The drinks were really good and they did not hold out on the amount of alcohol. Now the dinner. OMG Dinner was off the chain. I tip my hat off to the chef. I had the Honey Glaze Salmon and my husband is vegan so he had The Smoked spinach Asparagus Mashed potatoes and Brocolini. When I tell you this had to be the best food with so much flavor. We were more then pleased. The only complaint we have is the music got really loud. If couldnt hear each other even if you are sitting right next o each other. But other then that I will definitely return and I must say I am adding this to my list of best restaurants in Atlanta.“

“Went here for dinner. Everything we ate was so tasty (fried shrimp, trout, catch of the day, lamb burger). Except for the sweet breads which we didn't care for, but they took them off the bill which was considerate. The regular, more reasonably priced cocktails are excellent. The more premium cocktails are just straight booze though, not recommended, were too strong with no flavor or balance. But the standard cocktails were so refreshing.“

“Normally, I do not leave reviews of restaurants, but this place is definitely worth it! When I walked in, I was greeted by a very welcoming hostess. Entering past the curtain, I was absolutely amazed by the decor. A vibrancy of red and gold truly made the ambiance a serene Thai wonder. I sat at the bar, and I had 3 delicious drinks: The Peanut Noodle Old Fashion, See You Space Cowboy, and Paper Tiger. The bartender made those drinks feel like a 3 course meal, each with their own distinct flavor profile. Definitely worth the price! The well-made drinks + the delectable chicken sandwich I ordered + the welcoming staff = a lovely experience for me. Definitely the perfect date spot!“

“Perfect Latin fusion fair with creative dishes. Yummy starters include ceviche with passion fruit sauce, empanadas, guacamole and sautéed scallops. Excellent main dishes halibut, herb crusted lamp chops and filet. Healthy options available for vegetarians too! Great salads. Servers and fire dancers were an added bonus because they were fun and very friendly/helpful. (Managers could be friendlier.) Overall restaurant ambiance beautiful and eclectic. $25 fee for bringing our own birthday cake a bit ridiculous! Parking convenient $4 Parking fee expected but offers convenience to customers. Highly recommend this restaurant and even got to talk directly with the owner/head chef Bill! If you are in the area or even if not make the drive, it will be well worth it!!! Neighborhood where it is located, Inman Park, is very nice as well with lots of walk-ability and less than 2 miles from downtown Atlanta, so make it a day or weekend trip.“

“We visited The Red Phone Booth on 6/15 while in town for my cousin’s graduation. What no one knew was that I had just placed my mom on hospice and we had lost a cousin the same day—her sister and my mom’s baby sister were with us. Even in the middle of all that pain, we were shown such kindness. Sophia was amazing, and I even played pool with a member who didn’t know I could barely hold a cue. We didn’t look like what we were going through—but that night gave us joy we truly needed. Thank you for a beautiful experience. We’ll be back. ❤️“

“Good food, creative cocktails, and excellent service. Banshee was a great dinner, it is a smaller space which i prefer to the more sprawling restaurants like optimist or two urban licks. The vibe is personal and it doesn't feel like you are on restaurant rails like with some of the bigger spots.

Food was excellent, the fry bread is fun and we had a tomato appetizer that was spectacular. Had the fish and a corn pasta dish for the mains which were also delicious.

The cocktails were creative and I enjoyed them, but my wife said they were a little lackluster, so make of that what you will. They have a full bar and their bartenders seemed knowledgeable.

Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.“

“What an amazing place! John T Edge put me on this place and it’s absolutely incredible. The place is smaller so make a reservation. From the minute you walk in, you can tell this place is special. They have some outdoor seating that resembles a European cafe but the best place to me is in the room with the kitchen. The smells, the ambiance, the decor all make for a wonderful vibe.

Their menu is small but boy does it pack a punch! I got the spicy vodka pasta and my wife got the one with spinach and mushrooms and I honestly don’t know which was better. They were both perfect! Then we all split a tiramisu and outside of Italy, it was one of the best that I’ve ever had.

“July 05, 2025 Greetings, This evening, I had the opportunity to celebrate my 40th birthday, and to mark the occasion, my partner and I chose to dine at a fine dining establishment in downtown Atlanta. Regrettably, after we visited your downtown Atlanta location, it became clear that my hope for an outstanding dining experience was unlikely to be met. Upon our arrival, we had to wait despite having made a reservation several hours earlier. Eventually, we were seated at a table no larger than a nightstand. I immediately observed that, unlike the other tables, the candle on ours was unlit. This should have served as an indication of the service to follow. Once seated, we were presented with the menu and asked for two sweet teas. Soon after, we placed our orders. After waiting twenty minutes, we realized that our drinks had been forgotten. We subsequently reminded our waitress that we had ordered two sweet iced teas. After an additional ten minutes, our drinks arrived. Fifteen minutes later, our food finally arrived. Upon its arrival, I noticed a sticky substance around the $75 steak I had ordered. After considerable effort to cut into it, I tasted the meat and found it to be overcooked—its flavor reminiscent of a meal unintentionally left on the grill by an intoxicated cook. It was unsatisfactory, and I requested a remake. At this point, we had spent over an hour at your restaurant, and the staff began cleaning up. Finally, around 12:05 a.m., the re-cooked steak was brought out. Although it was an improvement over the first, it still did not merit the price of $75. Given that my potatoes were cold and the minimal ice in my refilled iced tea had melted, I opted to forgo the steak altogether. My partner, who is more willing to accept mediocre service, encouraged me to take the steak back to the hotel, which led us to request a to-go box. Ten minutes later, we received a small cardboard box, barely big enough for my food. Further, we were not offered anything to carry the sauce in, utensils, or even a bag. Shortly after, we received our bill, which totaled approximately $195.00, excluding gratuity. At that moment, I was overwhelmed with emotion and informed my partner that I needed a few minutes outside to collect my thoughts. I found it challenging to rationalize $200 for a meal arguably valued at $20 and customer service worth $10. Despite my objections, my partner insisted on refraining from discussing this matter with a manager. He wanted to avoid any conflict on my birthday. While I appreciate his noble intentions, I possess a strong aversion to inequality in any form. The treatment we received in an establishment that professes luxury and exemplary customer service was inadequate and perhaps a sign of your treatment towards Minority LGBT customers. We deserved a better experience. Although my birthday weekend was great, this experience was horrible. I am genuinely disappointed with my visit to your Atlanta location. “Was recommended to eat dinner here while in town. The atmosphere and vibe was very casual and chill. The staff and service was great and I did not feel rushed. I love the menu concepts of 1 protein for that day. The Caeser Salad was very well done. A great starter. For my Veggie dish I had the roasted carrots. Also very well balanced and presented. Then came the prime rib. Perfectly cooked and carved. I wish I could rate it a 4.5 instead of 4 because my only slight critism was that the meat needed a little more salt and some pepper. The jus was so well reduced and there was a lot on top and under the meat. Wish I would have had the pecan pie, but I was very full from the three coarses. Next time I will atleast ask for a piece of pie to go.“

Maitre d strong armed me into coming for breakfasts in the morning because I enjoyed everything. Alexis was great and the bartenders kept the drinks flowing and coming fast.

“Tabby was in town and in usual Tabby flow she was exploring the atlasobscura website and came across The Consulate. As such, we decided to go. We had reservations for 06:15 on a Friday. Arriving about 20 minutes early as traffic happened to be light, we were able to be seated early without any issues. Upon entering the restaurant the hallway decor captures your attention as you focus on the selected hues of blue and artwork placement. Upon being seated we were immediately greeted by Cindy. Cindy arrived all smiles coupled with a huge personality and warm welcome. As this was our first time she took a moment to explain to us the menu selections, geographical inspiration, as well as answer the few questions we had about select items. Cindy’s education of the menu and experience with the foods added to the food deciding experience. Major shout out to Cindy. The ambiance of the restaurant is high energy, captivating and explorative. As you look around the restaurant it puts you in the mindset of being inside one of the classic true to theme castles in an Indiana Jones or Tomb Raider movie. LoL! At any moment Laura Croft could walk in and grab one of the items on display and head out for her next mission. LoL! I decided on the String Beans with a side of Mexican Rice and I was more than satisfied with the flavor profile of my meal. The string beans were flavor stacked with the slight sweet from the sauce and the spice from the peppers. The texture was spot on for a true sautéed experience as well as the portion was perfect… The Mexican rice paired well with the string beans as it provided a texture variation as well as it was seasoned well but not overpowering in comparison to the string beans. This was truly a 10/10 experience. The service, the environment, and the food were all superb. Whether for a personal 2 person dinner or after work friend vibe, The Consulate is truly a must try for any occasion.“

“Went to this place wanting to love it which speaks a good bit for how big of a letdown it was. Night started out great host was super friendly came to pick us up from 9 mile station, once got in the bar god first round of drinks and that's where it started to go south. First round was fine no issues, ordered second round and it took almost an hour to get drinks, so once second round came out went ahead and ordered third knowing how long it was taking (was told bar was backed up due to a bachelor party that showed up of 5 or 6 people and there was probably only 20-30 people in the bar so didn't really make sense given the number of people on staff) second round I had heard about how the bartenders will make you a drink based off your taste which was the main appeal to this place ,so first drink was a maple old fashion, so second drink I told them I wanted to get something else based off maple.....they served me the exact same drink with a different brand of rye but added a $3 freestyle upcharge....finally had enough waiting after 2 and a half hours and only getting 3 or 4 drinks and actually went up to the bar to ask for the check since had gotten really burnt out on long wait times and the long stretches of I just want another drink....overall last drink was by far the best and would have liked another but the speed of the service at that point had totally killed the mood. Place 100% does not match the vibe they are trying to present so highly recommend going elsewhere which is sad because loved the concept“
