“A jewel of a spot! I happened upon Paper Plane while looking for a “family friendly” dinner spot on Friday. I was so pleasantly surprised when I peeped in for a sec. Well I was welcomed and shown around thinking it looked to Posh to bring a two year old, but the manager said “oh we’re family friendly here come on in”! So we dined on DELICIOUS food with many great Vegetarian options, and Sage the “ticky” toddler cleaned his plate, and had a ball playing in the outdoor space! Terrel provided excellent service for our family and out of town guest, I am a FAN!“

The chicken lettuce wraps were a hit...I could've had just that for dinner...so good! Finished with Miso glazed Salmon & Squid Ink Noodles. Salmon not flavorful at all, however the noodles were spot on...perfect!...as they floated in all the juicy, delicious Miso glaze! 😋 The cuisine style is unique; 4 stars for food, 5 stars for service, 10 stars for the ambient atmosphere. “Perfect Latin fusion fair with creative dishes. Yummy starters include ceviche with passion fruit sauce, empanadas, guacamole and sautéed scallops. Excellent main dishes halibut, herb crusted lamp chops and filet. Healthy options available for vegetarians too! Great salads. Servers and fire dancers were an added bonus because they were fun and very friendly/helpful. (Managers could be friendlier.) Overall restaurant ambiance beautiful and eclectic. $25 fee for bringing our own birthday cake a bit ridiculous! Parking convenient $4 Parking fee expected but offers convenience to customers. Neighborhood where it is located, Inman Park, is very nice as well with lots of walk-ability and less than 2 miles from downtown Atlanta, so make it a day or weekend trip.“

“We visited The Red Phone Booth on 6/15 while in town for my cousin’s graduation. What no one knew was that I had just placed my mom on hospice and we had lost a cousin the same day—her sister and my mom’s baby sister were with us. Even in the middle of all that pain, we were shown such kindness. Sophia was amazing, and I even played pool with a member who didn’t know I could barely hold a cue. We didn’t look like what we were going through—but that night gave us joy we truly needed. Thank you for a beautiful experience. We’ll be back. ❤️“

“What a hidden gem 💎 in Decatur. Upon entering the bar your senses are stimulated by the gorgeous decor and music. The bar is lit in a way that the bottle seems to sparkle like diamonds on display. The patrons are seated in luxurious chairs around tables that encouraged conversation. The decor is scrumptious and elegant. Our drinks were excellent and exceptional! The bar snacks were delicious as an added addition. Overall our experience was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. 6 star recommendations and we will return.“

“We did a walkin right when Gigi’s opened at 5pm and got a table without a reservation. The servers were really nice and welcoming. We sat outside which was nice but since it was summer here in Georgia there were quite a few flies around so definitely something to keep in mind.

The food and drinks are both creative and interesting and we enjoyed trying different dishes. The prices are pretty high for the portions though so I’d probably come back more for the experience and to try something different rather than for a casual dinner“

“Tabby was in town and in usual Tabby flow she was exploring the atlasobscura website and came across The Consulate. As such, we decided to go. We had reservations for 06:15 on a Friday. Arriving about 20 minutes early as traffic happened to be light, we were able to be seated early without any issues. Upon entering the restaurant the hallway decor captures your attention as you focus on the selected hues of blue and artwork placement. Upon being seated we were immediately greeted by Cindy. Cindy arrived all smiles coupled with a huge personality and warm welcome. As this was our first time she took a moment to explain to us the menu selections, geographical inspiration, as well as answer the few questions we had about select items. Cindy’s education of the menu and experience with the foods added to the food deciding experience. Major shout out to Cindy. The ambiance of the restaurant is high energy, captivating and explorative. As you look around the restaurant it puts you in the mindset of being inside one of the classic true to theme castles in an Indiana Jones or Tomb Raider movie. LoL! At any moment Laura Croft could walk in and grab one of the items on display and head out for her next mission. LoL! I decided on the String Beans with a side of Mexican Rice and I was more than satisfied with the flavor profile of my meal. The string beans were flavor stacked with the slight sweet from the sauce and the spice from the peppers. The texture was spot on for a true sautéed experience as well as the portion was perfect… The Mexican rice paired well with the string beans as it provided a texture variation as well as it was seasoned well but not overpowering in comparison to the string beans. This was truly a 10/10 experience. The service, the environment, and the food were all superb. Whether for a personal 2 person dinner or after work friend vibe, The Consulate is truly a must try for any occasion.“

The overall experience was great with Service and the Atmosphere was breath taking. The food was exceptional except the desserts were a little dis tasteful, but, I had eaten so much it could be my palate. “Was recommended to eat dinner here while in town. The atmosphere and vibe was very casual and chill. The staff and service was great and I did not feel rushed. I love the menu concepts of 1 protein for that day. The Caeser Salad was very well done. A great starter. For my Veggie dish I had the roasted carrots. Also very well balanced and presented. Then came the prime rib. Perfectly cooked and carved. I wish I could rate it a 4.5 instead of 4 because my only slight critism was that the meat needed a little more salt and some pepper. The jus was so well reduced and there was a lot on top and under the meat. Wish I would have had the pecan pie, but I was very full from the three coarses. Next time I will atleast ask for a piece of pie to go.“
