The service, swift as a falcon and gentle as a bard’s song, didst warm mine heart as surely as the coffee filled mine goblet. The food—O sweet heavens!—the waffle, golden as a king’s crown; the hashbrowns, scattered like stardust, smothered and covered with divine intent. Each bite a hymn, each sip a prayer answered. “I wish I asked who the cook was. But he was on his game. Ask what I was going to order before the waitress could get to me but both times I came to eat. They weren't slammed but other tables had two or more guests but he nailed every order and not skipped a heartbeat“
