“We were in the area and hadn't visited this restaurant before, but knowing Mellow Mushroom wouldn't disappoint, we decided to check it out. The restaurant was very clean and bright. As we walked in, Ida greeted us and told us to pick our spot. Ida was quick to take our order and so pleasant to talk to...in fact I noted two kitchen staff bring out to go orders while we were there, and both, Amanda and unfortunately I didn't hear anyone call out the young man's name, but both of them provided exemplary customer service. I don't say that often, I'm a retired service level manager, so that word is exactly appropriate. They even opened the box and asked their customer if it looked good to them and thanked them for visiting. Now the food, we ordered the house special, of course it was excellent, and they didn't skimp on the toppings, the bruschetta was delicious. In fact, we ate it and some pizza slices before I even thought about taking pictures to share. It's roughly a 35-minute drive from my home, but we'll be back soon. “I stopped here for a takeout pizza. This is exactly like the pizza I had in Italy. I love NY style pizza, but this is Naples style (Neapolitan). It's delicious and it's done very well here. There are basic items I look for in good Neapolatin pizza. First, the crust should be crispy and airy. Second, the dough bottom should be stretched thin and cooked slightly browned with a thin crisp on the bite. Next, the sauce and cheese should be thin but savory, with a touch of olive oil and full of flavor. All of these things require skill in making and shaping the dough as well as a good oven that crisps the bottom while the cheese bubbles on top. I make pizza from scratch at home, and I've learned how important each of these factors are and the difficulty in perfection them.I personally don't respect a pizza covered with multiple toppings that distract from these primary flavors. I had the Margherita pizza and the fresh basil added a wonderful aroma and flavor that came together perfectly with the other ingredients. I remembered myself enjoying a pizza in Italy with every bite. Novo is the best Neapolatin pizza I've had anywhere in GA.Sorry, there are no photos, but the ROTP (Rule of Takeout Pizza) states you must have a slice before leaving the parking lot. Novo would be best enjoyed on premise. This wasn't an option for me this time, but a future trip will allow for pictures and more exploration!“

When I arrived my order was already to go the server Tar’Sheika made sure everything was correct and to my liking before letting me walk out the door. She insured I had enough sauces and even offered me a Togo beverage. Usually when I order take out at places the servers aren’t that attentive. We went on a Saturday around 5ish so it was not too crowded and got seated with no reservations.Our waitresses was very nice and repeated our order which was an added bonus.I had a Ceasar salad which was not drenched in dressing. It had the perfect amount.Then our mains came out. I had the Prime Rib. It was perfect. Some places you get a 14oz prime that is 10oz of fat, not thos place. Perfect amount of marbling. Only complaint was the horseradish didn't really have any bite to it, but that is ok.The Village Tavern is definitely added to our rotation of places to go.My wife had a burger that she said was good. Some places she gets a burger from and they are no better than Wendy's but this, she said was really good.The only reason I dropped lower in atmosphere was because we were seated next to the kitchen. I would say if you are going to have a discussion, move to an location not next to where people are sitting. Didn't bother me but some might have an issue.Parking: Just be aware that there are signs that says the restaurant is not responsible for lost items. About 45 people were having a great time. Vintage provided every kind of pizza, a couple of large fresh salads topped off by fabulous brownies and cookies for dessert. The pizza was excellent. There was plenty of food for all. The service was excellent. At the end of the evening, they had each person’s bar tab ready. No problems at all. I was very impressed and will go back again for dinner. He kept repeating that the computer is always right and not what's advertised on the shelves. I asked for a manager as he was being unreasonable to the point where he said he wasn't calling for one. Finally, a manager came, and his words were there is no way that cost 1000 it's max 100 and the sticky hand no way it's 1500 that's max 100 as well. He took us to the same register and scanned, and to everyone surprise they scanned properly. Come to find out, the prize cashier was scanning the wrong bar codes he had behind the counter.“

We also asked for NFL game to be put on one of the many TV's which she did promptly.Our meal ,which was prepared by a young man named Jeremy, was warm and flavorful. Eva brought us our food with a big smile all while taking phone and counter orders and cleaning up a beverage someone spilled at register.Speaking of beverages, the margaritas were delicious, affordable and full of tequila. “I was visiting the hotel and ate at the bar several times. The food was great! The wings were crisp and juicy with great flavor. I also tried the chicken sandwich. This is next level with pimento cheese and apricot jam were fantastic! I definitely recommend it. If you want something light, go for the charcuterie! I did and I don’t regret it, but I wish I had ordered an extra to go home with. Last but certainly not the least are the bartenders and the drinks. Zach and Leslie are wonderful hosts with great personalities. Not only that, they can make 5 star drinks!!! My favorite 2 of the weekend were a bourbon sidecar and a vieux carre.
