20 Best Thai Restaurants near Kennesaw

“Twice now I’ve stopped for takeout on the way back home while using the nearby supercharger. I would love to venture across the menu but road-tripping always means I have to stay protein focused — so far have had Gai Yang twice, steak, and an eggplant dish once.
That chicken and the accompanying sauce. Holy wow. I’ve been across the ocean to various countries to eat in Asia, had the luxury of living near PokPok for years in Oregon, and often end up in Nashville where the Michelin SS Gai is.

Whenever I come to Atlanta I’m committed to always stopping here (followed by some coffee and breads down the street at Paris Baguette). This restaurant its always quiet, has my food almost before I can walk down the hill from the chargers and is so delicious I will gladly litter my seats and wear fish sauced stained hands and beard the whole drive home.

Thank you for pulling me out of a deep food depression after spending all summer in Japan. The average southern palette unfortunately doesn’t appreciate Asian flavors enough so I’m hopeful this restaurant is around for a very long time to open more people up to some awesome flavor. The char and juiciness of the chicken and tang of the sauce is unmatched against some of the best out there. I will dream of it until next time! If there’s a cookbook to help scratch the itch in the meantime, I’ll be waiting with my grill“

This place has a lot of character and is almost hidden but provides everything you can ask for food wise. The flavor of the curry was perfect and the meal was super satisfying and on point. “This being my first time at Izumi, I was very impressed. A co-worker suggested that I try them for lunch today. I ordered the Drunken Tiger, the Ocean Roll, and a hot tea. The service was fantastic, both the host and server were friendly and had welcoming smiles. I recieved my food in a timely manner and took the suggestions for dishes. They did NOT disappoint! Both of my dishes were delicious. The fish was fresh and the flavors were to die for. I asked for my check early; as I have a brief break. My server offered me some fresh tea to go as I left; which was very much appreciated. Thank you for a wonderful experience. I will be returning.“

“We visited Bangkok Cabin on Father’s Day with our family. The restaurant had a bit of an unusual aroma when we first walked in, and with it being Father’s Day, every other restaurant was packed, so we decided to stay.

I’m so grateful that we did.

Our waitress, Maddie, was truly exceptional. Before we even ordered, my son, who is on the autism spectrum and is mostly nonverbal, became overwhelmed and had an episode. Dining out is incredibly difficult for our family because loud vocalizations and sensory overload often make restaurant visits stressful for everyone involved. Because of that, we rarely eat out.

Maddie never made us feel like we were a burden. She was patient, calm, and incredibly kind. She took the time to connect with my son instead of rushing him. When she described the Pad Thai as “oodles of noodles,” something clicked for him. He smiled, understood exactly what she meant, and happily ordered it—and even ate it.

As a special needs mom, moments like that are priceless.

What many people don’t see is the daily struggle some families face just getting their child to eat or simply making it through a meal in public. For the first time in three years, we were able to enjoy dinner without feeling like we had to apologize for existing. I’m tearing up as I write this because that simple act of kindness meant more than I can ever express.

The food was good—not the best Thai food I’ve ever had, but it absolutely hit the spot. What will bring us back, though, is the incredible service and compassion we experienced.

Maddie, thank you. Your patience, kindness, and willingness to meet my son where he was made all the difference. You gave our family something we haven’t had in a very long time: a peaceful meal together.
