Southern comfort food is what's on the menu here! The country fried steak and okra are better than my grandma's. Everyone is very friendly and the service was super fast. The restaurant is in a cute old house and the fire place up front made everything feel warm and cozy. Chicken fingers and meatloaf was also good. The only thing I didn't like was my black eyed peas. They needed some more seasoning or a ham hock.
I had frequented this place back when it was CJs and when I lived in the area and it seems like the tradition has continued on. The value seemed perfectly proportionate to what was served. I got the country fried steak with brown gravy, okra and Mac n cheese. The Mac n cheese was pretty watered down almost as if they were trying to stretch it over the course of the day. Definitely should have gone with a different veggie. The okra was pretty good, but it did seem a little overcooked...read full review

Really loved their food, and service. Appeared to be a house made into a restaurant, which gave it that cozy feeling that matched the food.Vegetarian options: Too many to try them all but I'd probably try.Parking: On a solid ground, no asphalt, but the ground, even the part with no grass, did not stir up dust and get on your car, which gave you that country feel like eating at grandma's or other relatives.
