“I loved it!! It was so authentic and sooo good! If you have open spot on your bucket list definitely come try this place! The collard green and okra sauce and the fish is what we tried and it did not disappoint! It was delicious!!! I will definitely be coming back :)“
“Oxtails were amazing!!! Thank you for the great customer service and being greeted upon entry. Will definitely be returning and as I stated we would love to invite y’all to our Juneteenth food truck event. (Food truck not needed) again thank y’all for having amazing food.“
“I had the best time at Honest Star Tropical Restaurant. Our host Daniel was 100% great, excellent, well informed and provided great suggestion in regards to the menu.I had ogbono soup and that was delicious. Being out of state, I was surprised how big the portion sizes were just for under $18. I took my leftover homes and the food was even more delicious. The atmosphere and the ambiance of the restaurant is excellent. Though it is an African restaurants, their customers are African food lovers. There were non-African nationals enjoying delicious food as well.I will be back.“
“The food is absolutely delicious!! The flavors and variety of dishes were worth the 30 min drive from my house to the restaurant. The owner explain the different fish & meats to me, how they were prepared & suggested what to pair with my main dish choice. He even gave me small cup samples to taste to help me make my meal choice; never have I had service at a restaurant like this before. Please, if you are looking for authentic African meals, a nice atmosphere and great, service you’ve got to give African Palace a try!“
“If you haven't been to this restaurant you are missing out good foods great customer service and great atmosphere ? ? the Owner and employees are very friendly. This is La Rosa I am next door make sure come and see me on your way back from the restaurant.“
“I think we can all agree that most people look at reviews of restaurants to see how bomb the food is going to be. However, If you are looking for a casual date night, dining in type of environment, this is not the place. The food on the other hand was magnificent!!! I love the efo riro soup the pounded yam, the jollof rice and the brisket was good although, it could have been a little less dry. I wanted to dine in, but didn't realize that they try and make it a "club/lounge" vibe. The music was way too loud for me. You cannot comfortably hold a conversation.THE PRICES!!! So, I don't have a problem paying for amazing food, however, $26 for a stew and pounded yam is a no for me.Not to mention their portions are so small. $9 for jollof rice, $16 for sliced brisket that was a handful!! They need to cut prices or double up on portions if they want more business. We also ordered a corona, ONE BEER= $7!!!!!!!!!!Overall, It was okay, I will go there for take-out if I am desperate to eat some good African food, but expect to pay a good bit!“
“Wow. DEEEELICIOUS!!! FINGERLICKING GOOD! I'd been craving to try Egusi Soup & Fufu for quite some time. Took me a long time to make a decision on which restaurant to choose as I wanted my first experience to be a good one. Finally today something told me just to go for it, & this restaurant was one of (if not- THE ONLY) that offered it VEGAN! Held off for so long because to me, I'm thinking it would be better to dine in and eat it fresh but I'm glad my curiosity got the best of me. Ordered it on UberEats & man it was everything I imagined. Soooo flavorful & rich. Even though it's my first time, I think that it's probably gonna be my favorite. It was so good I didn't even think to take pictures, I was just in the moment giving appreciation. I'll take pictures next time I have some, probably very soon!!!Vegetarian options: The Vegan Egusi with Plantain Fufu was what I got and it was delicious.“
“A little African spot, I got the pounded yam and egusi soup ? (authentic nigerian food) to go. It was worth my money, great food. They also have a live dj hitting Afrobeats for those who were eating and drinking in there.Did I say they had foreign beers, too.“
“I ordered from Makay Catering for my daughter's birthday and I was not disappointed. They have a menu that is full of variety. I ordered the vegetable fried rice, plantains, eggrolls, and some puff puff and had them delivered. Everything was delicious and fresh. But the Fried Rice was the STAR of the day, everyone was asking about it, and wanted more, and the shito, hmm just wonderful if you love pepper. The communication was fine. I'll definitely order from them in the future.“
