“Started going here last week and have been three times since last week lol. This low-key might be one of my pregame spots as the ambience is so beautiful and subtle inside, grateful for a date night but also cool enough for a man to just have a drink and watch the games while listening to some soothing R&B music over a really good hot plate of food and a marvelous Bartender (CeCe) who makes some really satiating drinks. I felt very welcoming, coming in my first day to watch the Joe versus battle. Customer service is always a big stickler for me and the way Cece and her team looked after me didn’t go unnoticed as I’m apparently a return customer lol“

“I want to thank Paul and the Makay Chop Bar & Catering team for an excellent experience last week.
We ordered light goat soup, and the food was delivered earlier than expected and very well packaged. Paul’s communication and attention to detail showed a level of professionalism that truly stands out. He is helping set a strong standard for professionalism in African restaurants and catering services.
Most importantly, the food was delicious. The light goat soup was a big hit, and the shito was my personal favorite.
I wish Makay Chop Bar & Catering continued growth and success as the business scales. I will definitely be recommending them and sending more customers their way.“

“Kevin is very top tier! He is one of the managers and he came out to check that everything was good with our food. I also enjoyed Raven which was one of the servers. She explained the food in detail and took good care of us. The atmosphere is very unique and the selection of music is very diverse and set at a good tone. It’s a mixture of r&b, hip hop, and Afro beats. I would definitely check this place out again .“

“Found this spot on social media and I’m elated that I did!!! It’s in a small spot but that’s great. Not too much of a crowd. You can be very casual and enjoy great food!! The chef is very engaging and explains each dish. Everything was made fresh. The Suya and corn are “chef’s kiss”. But again, everything was great. Don’t overlook this hidden gem in Stone Mountain!!!“

“Nestled on Old National Highway, Manding Cafe is a true treasure that captures the vibrant essence and rich culture of West Africa right in Atlanta. As someone who has a deep appreciation for natural juices and hearty, wholesome meals reminiscent of the comfort food that fuels the spirit (much like what Popeye the Sailor Man felt) I was eager to dive into the offerings at Manding Cafe.
Walking through the doors, I was greeted with warm smiles and the enticing aromas of spices that instantly transported me to a place filled with joy and comfort. The decor, adorned with elements reflecting the Manding heritage, created an inviting atmosphere that felt like home.
I began my meal with a refreshing natural juice that was a harmonious blend of flavors, invigorating and uplifting with every sip. It was the kind of drink that fills you with energy and warmth, setting a perfect foundation for what was to come.
As I enjoyed my meal, the experience was akin to the delightful feeling Popeye gets when he consumes his beloved spinach; a sense of vitality and fulfillment washed over me. Each bite was nourishing, leaving me with a sense of deep satisfaction and comfort that warmed my heart. The textures were delightful, offering a fulfilling experience that felt both enriching and soulful.
The attentive and friendly staff added to the overall experience, providing insights into the dishes and the culture they represent. Their commitment to sharing the joy of Manding cuisine was palpable, radiating positivity and a genuine sense of family.
What truly resonated with me during my visit was the ambiance infused with a spirit of peace, love, and prosperity—values that seem to permeate every corner of Manding Cafe. It’s clear that this establishment is not just about food; it’s about creating an experience that uplifts and nourishes the spirit.
Overall, Manding Cafe is a vibrant culinary haven in Atlanta, perfect for anyone seeking the rich flavors of West Africa. It’s a place that nourishes not just the body but the soul, much like the comforting meals that bring joy and energy to life. I’ll certainly be back for more of that uplifting spirit and delicious nourishment!
Thank you Mrs. Binta!!!🙏🏾🙌🏾😇“

“Stopped by on my way to Birmingham to grab some food. On entering, they were warm and friendly. Food was amazing!!!!
I got my mom the amala and ewedu. She said she’s gotta take a trip there because it was so good even after some hours sitting in my car. The Afang and pounded yam was so delicious too. The plantain and eggs were great too. My new spot when I come back to the area .“
“I order here all the time. I love the egusi soup with goat meat and pounded. Always extremely flavorful and portions are generous. I love Sheba as well the first couple of times I used door dash but since meeting her it’s my pleasure to go in and pick up. She is sweet and she gets to know her customers when she can. You can tell she has a passion for what she does. Hope she’s around forever! Oh yea and make sure you are prepared to pay when you order over the phone ? Sometimes ppl order and don’t pick up!“

“The way I demolished that food!!!! It was so delicious 😋 I will definitely be back! The ladies at the counter made it even better. They were so sweet and had great customer service. It was my first time and I was extremely satisfied. The red snapper, jollof & Fataya were finger licking good! 👍🏽 I would leave a picture, but no crumbs were even left! Until next time 👋🏽...“

“Walking in the restaurant feels like a little hole in the wall, but those are the best places. There’s a good seating arrangement and plenty of seats for a small space. The staff members were incredibly helpful and ensured our experience went well.
We tried the chicken shawarma, a burger, the jollof rice, and the dibi. Sides included Mac and cheese and the plantains, and we also ordered the empanadas. Had to try the west African halal food, everything was delicious. The dibi is smothered in onions with heavy mustard sauce so be weary in case it’s not your thing. I don’t usually go for mustard but I didn’t mind this at all.“
