Como Tú Dominican Restaurant is a fantastic traditional Dominican restaurant, considered a low-key hidden gem. The food is excellent, very good, and fresh, with authentic taste and ingredients. Specific praised items include the arroz y habichuelas, the creamy chicken, the shrimp plate, the stewed beef, and the pastelitos or mini empanadas. The lunch special and empanada prices can’t be beat, with very good and nice prices that are affordable and reasonably priced. Full plates are often under $20.
The atmosphere is lovely, very clean and simple but cute inside. The service is excellent and fast, with a staff that is incredibly friendly and chill. The location is convenient with ample parking, a major bonus. There are no long wait times and it is not overcrowded. Some note the food variety sometimes seems limited, but the restaurant is growing. Overall, it is an underrated spot for fresh, authentic Dominican food without the common hassles.
