Mamies is home for us. We went yesterday and it hasn’t changed at al, i needed an extra empty bowl for my special needs daughter and they didn’t bat an eye. I grew up going to Mamies, it’s home
Best southern homemade breakfast I’ve had in Atlanta. Even if it is only takeout! I cannot come to Atlanta without eating here!
Warning: It’s not a beautiful space. It looks completely old and run down. They stopped seating customers during Covid and never looked back. (I guess we’re too much work 😅). Truly ghost town looking building.
But damn if it don’t hit my “I need some good grits and bacon” itch every single time!
