Ts better than gabinos
I moved here from the west coast a year ago. My soul craves good Mexican food. Which is very hard to find here. Thankfully I found this place shortly after moving and it’s by far the closest to San Diego Mexican food I’ve found. I’d be here every day if I could.

Taqueria La Morena is a delicious and authentic Mexican restaurant in Locust Grove. The food is fantastic, fresh, and outstanding, with exceptional dishes like Pozole stew, chicken soup, Birria Tacos, and Pina Loca. The street tacos are flavorfull and not dry. The chicken enchiladas, burritos marinos, and Chicken Mole are also highly recommended. Service is excellent, great, prompt, and friendly. The salsa is very good, though some salsas for the chips and pupusas can be bland. The parking lot is challenging, but there is often no wait. It is absolutely worth a stop, providing a great experience that will have customers planning return trips.
