“Love this local, off the beatin' path diner! It has become a weeknight favorite for me and my husband. I usually get the grilled salmon and he gets the fried grouper. Servings are enormous and the food is excellent. And, if you do choose to go on a weekend night, you may have to wait if you do not call ahead with a reservation. It has become extremely popular. Jules and Shannon are excellent with their service, delightful conversation, and smiling faces. Great place!“

“I just stopped by for a quick lunch based on recommendations from family. I had no thoughts of even reviewing this restaurant. But once I tasted the food, I had no choice. This restaurant checked all of the boxes, for their category of culinary selections. In the top two country cooking restaurants I know of anywhere. I would rate them a Michelin star plus.“

“Gumlog Brewery has been such a fun addition to downtown Lavonia. Even though we don’t drink, I love their wine slushes and their pretzels with cheese dip — so good! They’ve brought such a great energy to downtown with evening events and a fun atmosphere for the community. It’s been really nice to see our town have more places to gather and enjoy time together.“

“This is a great place to have breakfast. Food is excellent. The pancakes are the best I have had in years. Great service and great prices. If you are a breakfast person, this is a must visit. The lunch buffet looks awesome but have not had chance to try it out. I know it will be great too.“

“I was born and raised in Toccoa and have eaten at Bell's all my life. I'm really sad that they no longer open on Saturdays because I now live in Marietta and Saturday was the only day I could drive up there and enjoy their food. I have never gotten a bad meal at Bell's in over 50 years. It is fabulous. Nothing in the Marietta/Atlanta area is this good.“

“Noticed the menu has changed a bit. The chicken tenders are different and not in a good way. They used to be really tender and batter was crunchy. Now not much flavor and dry. Miss the prime rib dip sandwich. The ranch fries as an appetizer are gone. The new fried chicken over mashed potatoes is like the new tenders, not that great. I know keeping a menu fresh is a good thing. But , when the quality of some items go down, not good. Will give it another try on other items sometime.“

“Today we stopped in and ordered take out. 2 cheeseburgers and chili cheeseburgers! We took the food home to enjoy and it was still hot and the fries were still crispy and had just the right amount of salt!!!! The employees were nice and even brought the food to my car while I was waiting on it!!! This was our 3rd visit and we will be back!“

“I wish I could give Moriah and this store 100 stars!!! We were in the area for a funeral and due to some impending weather many of the people planning to help provide for the luncheon after the service were not comfortable being out with a storm coming. While totally understandable, this left us scrambling the night before to come up with a way to serve lunch to 40-60 people. We were freaking out! CB and Moriah came through in a big way assuring they could make it happen and get it delivered to the church for the luncheon on time and they did just that. So incredibly grateful for the kindness and execution in our time of need! Well done!“

“Good bbq and stew. I would have preferred the stew in a bowl in not on the plate but the flavor was good. I also prefer chunky stew and this was more of a smooth stew but again the flavor was fine. The bbq was moist with a vinegar based sauce. The ribs were cooked just right and had a sticky coating on sauce. Onion rings were also large and served hot. Overall the food, service and atmosphere was very good.“

“The young lady that took my order was very nice and took a difficult order perfectly. I don’t order from the memo it was a special order.
The gentleman that cooked it cooked the absolute best food anyone could ask for. He can cook way better than most 5 ⭐️restaurants. I give you two a perfect 5 ⭐️. As for Waffke House in general, not being able to call thr store directly is ridiculous. You as a whole dropped the ball. I give you all no stars. I was in a semi and couldn’t simply pullover and walk in. It’s a shame someone can’t call in and gove workers praise. I also did tip the lady for simply taking my to go order.“

“I have been a regular customer for a little while now. This morning I went through the line and the lady who sees me come very often knew exactly what I wanted with my fries (extra seasoning). This small gesture of just remembering me and my order made my day.“

“I had to seat myself X5 people came in after I did and ordered my food BTW. They received their food prior to mine. I asked the waitress about my food. She then gave my food 20mins later. Everything was COLD! grits w/lumps cold, bacon cold, cheese eggs cold, the toast was old/cold! I spoke with the waitress and left NO TIP! WORST W/H EVER!!!“

“We come all the way from Pickens, SC to eat here. The food is always good, they keep everything nice and clean, and the people are always friendly. It is closer for us to go to the one in Anderson, but it is always dirty, the service is terrible. I give this restaurant a five star review!“
