I recently spent time in McRae for work. I ate at Southern Star twice. Once for lunch and once for dinner. For lunch I had the blue plate special. For dinner I had a steak. Both meals were excellent. Service was exceptional both times. I don’t if I’ll find myself back in McRae anytime soon but if I do, I’ll definitely be back.
Mmm, Mmm Wow, just what I needed after a long day. Staff amazing,well managed, attentive. Steak is fantastic, Ribeye, juicy, fresh and not overcooked and So Tasty. Sides I got Spinach and Veggies, Top steakhouse Quality. Side salad with, got to get house dressing. Fast and professional, I am so blessed to find places and people like this. This is the nicest, non fancy restaurant you'll go to. The workers are awesome, the place is super nice, and I've never had anything bad off the menu. You like sweet tea? It doesn't get sweeter than here. You like fish? Best catfish off the river. Chicken, burgers, steak, just don't even question whether or not it'll be good.
