“I was in a search of Napoleon cake and was recommended this store. And I was so glad I went there. At first I was surprised how small the store is. Looks pretty stuffed with shelves. But when you start looking around - there do have many different items. And most importantly they have fresh baked bread and cakes, our famous salads “vinegret” and “shuba”, variety of “pirojki”, borsch and solyanka, golubcy, and more and more and more. I bought everything to try and didn’t regret a bit! Even though I make my own borsch and golubcy I liked theirs too. Shuba was amazing! Mushroom salad was something new and different, good a spread on bread or with boiled egg. Nice eggplant salad with their fresh bake bread - it was delicious! Napoleon was exactly how I make it at home. It was a good choice to get it there. Besides all of listed above they have a great selection of tea, salami, cheeses, candy and other sweets. My skepticism began to fade as the heavenly aroma wafted from my oven. It was banished with the first bite. First, the filling was really good. Lots of flavor and just the right ratio of veggies and chicken to sauce. BUT, let's talk about the part that really matters- that crust. I have pursued the perfect pie crust over the better part of 40 years with some success. Still I was stunned at my first bite. How did this company make the best tasting, flakiest pie crust I have ever tasted, freeze it, ship it across country and put my efforts to shame!?! IDK but they did. So, logically I immediately ordered the cook book, and, well, I'm trying. May I suggest SPBC enter the ready made pie crust arena? Sign me up! Try the pie, y'all!“

Upon walking in the establishment , it was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Arriving early, I was the first person there which allowed me to choose many different items fresh from the oven. Miss Vivian was very helpful in telling me all the different names of the items in the bakery and recommending some additional items. This restaurant also serves breakfast, lunch, soft drinks, coffee, and they have a lot of seating. There is also plenty of parking along with handicap spaces. I would definitely recommend this place, and I look forward to going back to see Miss Vivian for lunch.“
