“I recently visited Block Buster Bar and Restaurant, and I have to say, my experience was quite surprising in a good way. When I first walked in, the place was empty, which made me a bit hesitant about ordering food. However, I decided to give it a shot, and I'm glad I did.

I started with the chicken bandi style pakodi as an appetizer, which was flavorful and had a great texture. For the main course, I tried the Andhra chicken curry with tandoori roti. The curry was rich and spicy, just like you'd find in India, and the roti was perfectly cooked. To finish off my meal, I had the bread halwa for dessert, which was a delightful and sweet end to an already satisfying meal.

Overall, all the dishes I tried were delicious and brought back memories of India. I'm really glad I decided to visit Block Buster Bar and Restaurant. It was a pleasant surprise, and I left feeling very satisfied.“

“The quality of the food is top notch. The facility has a cool vibe to it with the high ceilings, open kitchen, and large bar. Iirc, the wine racks are a throwback to the original FSE. Our waitress Nei (sp?) really knew the menu and made great recommendations on pairings of food. The seating area is rather open and can be noisy. The portions are appropriate for your meal, and there were no leftovers at our table. Prices are on par with other restaurants of this caliber. Plenty of free parking right behind the restaurant. “The band After School Special was a really fun and very talented 90’s cover band. We were very impressed. The food was also excellent and we had brick oven pizza and bbq with yummy sides. Also loved the Bloody Mary! A great time and full bellies - what more can you ask for? Oh and just an aside what a lovely bathroom!“

Descending the stairs felt like stepping into another time. Rich wood tones, sultry lighting and a live band that brought the room to life. For a Tuesday night? The energy was electric and the space was packed! We enjoyed boutique bowling in a lively, luxe atmosphere and our server, Rider, kept our large party taken care of with warmth, attentiveness and charm.

Where the venue lost a star? The menu. While we literally ordered one of everything to share across our group, the food was more functional than flavorful. Limited options and a bit underwhelming in execution.

“It is a family-owned establishment that has been in operation for years. It must have the best bar food in Cobb County. I have been going there for 20 years and I have never heard anyone complain about the food, service, or price.“

“For the most part I love this park! My only complaint is they seem to close for any reason they can as well as the fact that they do not allow personal drinks in the park but they are often out of the only few drinks I can drink being diabetic. Other than that, I love this place.“

Obviously Finley’s was where we ended up not knowing it was inside the cooler! “Came for lunch, they were very slow during lunch on the day we came. But we sat outside in the beautiful sunshine and had a delicious lunch. Smashed burger and fries was delicious also had the beer battered chicken strips, also great! At night they have more bar activity’s/karaoke going on, but during lunch very low key relaxed family friendly atmosphere. Service, food, and atmosphere great!“

Lunch or dinner is a good choice. Salads, soups, appetizers, desserts and plated meals are well prepared and have that home cooked feel. Never been there without a reservation.. “This is a hidden gem in Johns Creek! I visited on a random Tuesday night. I’m a bit of a foodie and can be a bit picky - that said, I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner here. I had the salmon and chose to get it blackened. Despite my requesting it well done, the salmon was still so moist and the lemon vinaigrette drizzle accompanied the dish so well! I also had a spicy margarita and their crème brûlée for dessert. My total experience was amazing! Will definitely be back!“

Only one suggestion-
Don’t be so stingy on the sambhar. 2tbsp of sambhar isn’t enough for a dosa or uttapam.
No sambhar is provided with Idli.
Come on guys, you can fix this and make your customers happier.

“We recently visited this location and had a mixed experience. Unfortunately, the service was not great, our order was missed by the chef, and we ended up waiting about 45 minutes for the pizza.
That said, the food was really good and made up for some of the frustration. We tried the wings and cheese bread, and both were excellent. The cheese bread was especially soft, cheesy, and delicious. We ordered a custom green pesto chicken pizza, which was also very tasty with soft cheese and great flavor.
Other than the service issue, everything else was top-notch. We’d be open to trying food again, but will likely visit one of their other locations next time.“

“I stopped in with some friends for drinks, chips, and salsa at one of the high tops by the bar while our daughters were at a first aid class and we had such a good time! The bartender, Carlos, was handling the bar, high tops, and answering the phone for to-go orders and had such an awesome attitude despite his numerous responsibilities. My Paloma was perfection (especially with the tajín on the rim!) and the atmosphere was excellent. We’ll definitely be back!“

Room service was quick and the food came out hot, and the bed was super comfortable. The barista downstairs also did a great job on my caramel iced coffee. There were a couple of small things that could be improved: the TV had a few noticeable spots on the screen, and the shower door is only a half-door, which means you have to actually step into the tub to turn the water on. I would definitely come back. The vibe, comfort, and service all made the stay worth it.“

“Hosted Trivia while my wife did have dinner. She said the server was AWESOME, she explained everything and answered all questions with a smile. The cheese dip with the roasted corn was incredible. She had the taco salad with shredded chicken, said the lettuce was crisp, there was a lot of chicken, and the cilantro just gave it the perfect kick. She said although the refried beans were different in appearance, they were still delicious. Will definitely be back when we can enjoy a meal together.“
