“Awesome, delicious, friendly service, and nearby! The best Shrimp Boil we have had in many years. The shrimp was good size, tender (not overcooked), sausage, potatoes and corn were perfect with the best seasoning ever. The juice was outstanding. The boiled egg was a surprise, must be a regional dish for Mal, but oh so good! Us southerns usually have our eggs deviled, but I have a new favorite! We support our new business in Monroe. The price is worth it when you are served food this good! Check it out!”

“We enjoy the Winder location for dinner and Sunday brunch and decided to try the Monroe location. We were looking forward to a nice evening out, but due to the service we won't be back to Monroe. The food was good, when we finally received it. We had a reservation and once we were seated, we waited 20 minutes for our server to come and greet us and ask for our drink order. No one came over until I went to the front counter to ask who our server was. The food arrived an hour after being seated. The atmosphere was loud and crowded. I much prefer the Winder location and we will only be going back there in the future.”

“Checkers is the most slept on fast food restaurant right now, because it is the best and there’s almost never anyone here. The deals are amazing, and the food is my favorite out of all fast food places. This particular location is also awesome. My order is always correct and the staff is always friendly. I come here all the time. This place should be much more crowded than it is. The fries are amazing (my favorite fast food French fry), and the four for four meal with the double cheeseburger is an amazing deal. It’s also delicious. I wish they had milkshakes at this location, but I’m sure if this location got the customers it deserved, then they would be able to add more things to the menu.”

Nestled in Johns Supermarket in Monroe, this hidden gem offers a variety of food. My favorite are the brussel sprouts with balsamic with a mill village wrap...and the tenders are always a good bet!!

As long as you're there during off peak times, plenty if parking is available but the lot can get a little tight as it fills up.”

“The server attendant at the windows was a SUPER NICE older gentleman. Got myself a Dragonfruit drink and my dog Harry a pupcup. The guy was so sweet to my dog Harry. Love when the drive thru attendants are super engaging 🥰🐾🩵🫶”

“I was in town for work and the locals said go to LR for lunch. Why not? I don’t know any good places and I was so glad I did. The lady at the register (found out later she was the locals aunt) was by far the SWEETEST EVER taking my order. The fried pickles were amazing and definitely enough for more than 1. I loved my burger as well. Best part, is the restaurant is an old gas station. If you’re in Monroe stop by. You won’t regret it.”

“The three girls in there around 130 today were busting there butts to make everyone’s orders on time and all with a smile on their face and a great positive attitude! My daughter dropped her smoothie after taking just a couple of sips and when I offered to clean up and pay for a new one they would not let me and made her a new one! They were honestly so great and I appreciated it so much!!”

“Food is delicious, fresh, and hot. The staff is friendly and accommodating. It was some of the best Chinese restaurants I've EVER been to. I would easily compare them to some of the best restaurants in Atlanta. Their food can't be beat. We will be recommending this place to EVERYONE. You will be doing a disservice to yourself if you don't try this place. My wallet still has money left in it!”

“Long Horns is a chain steak house that I visit from time to time. Although it seemed very busy with multiple groups of 12 or larger, there were several tables empty. This seemed like a staffing issue but that would only be a guess. I ordered the grilled Shrimp with Peppers as a main course even though it was a starter and French onion soup. Both turned out quite good. Our waiter was top notch. Sadly I can't remember his name. With the large crowds it was very noisy. Having a conversation with my associate was difficult at best. So, not the place I would recommend for an intimate dinner.”

His knowledge of the menu was impressive—his recommendations were spot-on, and every detail was delivered with a smile and such positive energy that it made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. He managed to be attentive without ever being intrusive, striking the perfect balance of friendliness and professionalism.

Steven truly goes above and beyond—his passion for great service shines through in every interaction. If you’re lucky enough to have him as your server, you’re in for a fantastic experience! We will definitely be coming back, thanks to him.”

“I’m a huge fan of cheesesteak sandwiches, and this place didn’t disappoint! At times, the front staff (cashiers) are busy in their phones and less attentive than I’d hope, but all in all, this is a family favorite. The only other downside is it takes acquire some time for our orders to finish. Again, with that said, the food is always steaming hot, fresh, and two to rock :)”

“First time at this new location. Been going to the old for a while that some of the staff remembers me. New place is nice and fresh. The food it let me down, was expecting the same quality and taste. It was lacking in some of the extras tastebuds. Was good but not great as it once was. I remember the fried rice get salt, pepper and some secrete seasonings, was salt, seafood was not seasoned as it once was. I don’t mind to pay more since this new building but give me that flavor I love please. Make sure portion are worth it, felt on the small side for the price. I want to come back please take my recommendations. I’m okay for the price but let’s get the food portion and taste up there.”

“We eat here a lot. I was happy to see an offer for a bonus $5 gift card with purchase of a $25 card. So I go for the offer, only to discover, several screens into the process, that there is a $2.50 "digital services fee." Come on guys. This really leaves a bad taste in your mouth.”
