“Awesome, delicious, friendly service, and nearby! The best Shrimp Boil we have had in many years. The shrimp was good size, tender (not overcooked), sausage, potatoes and corn were perfect with the best seasoning ever. The juice was outstanding. The boiled egg was a surprise, must be a regional dish for Mal, but oh so good! Us southerns usually have our eggs deviled, but I have a new favorite! We support our new business in Monroe. The price is worth it when you are served food this good! Check it out!”

“We enjoy the Winder location for dinner and Sunday brunch and decided to try the Monroe location. We were looking forward to a nice evening out, but due to the service we won't be back to Monroe. The food was good, when we finally received it. We had a reservation and once we were seated, we waited 20 minutes for our server to come and greet us and ask for our drink order. No one came over until I went to the front counter to ask who our server was. The food arrived an hour after being seated. The atmosphere was loud and crowded. I much prefer the Winder location and we will only be going back there in the future.”

“I just love this. We were in Monroe for my Mom's funeral and this place felt like home as it used to be when we were kids visiting our grandparents. I had forgotten how welcoming small town restaurants and shops are and we so needed that, along with great food and a cozy atmosphere. The biscuits are homemade and SO good! We were there 3 times in a week.

Dog walking aound on the bar was a little off-putting, (I know they're "family" but really...would you let your toddler walk around ON THE BAR) but overall a great place. Young gal behind the bar was great and a sweetheart (I hate no name tags and when you run a tab, no reciept). God bless ya!”

“Checkers is the most slept on fast food restaurant right now, because it is the best and there’s almost never anyone here. The deals are amazing, and the food is my favorite out of all fast food places. This particular location is also awesome. My order is always correct and the staff is always friendly. I come here all the time. This place should be much more crowded than it is. The fries are amazing (my favorite fast food French fry), and the four for four meal with the double cheeseburger is an amazing deal. It’s also delicious. I wish they had milkshakes at this location, but I’m sure if this location got the customers it deserved, then they would be able to add more things to the menu.”

“Madison was a true pleasure to work with in every way. Blue Rooster is our favorite bakery! We have been returning to this place for over two years now, trying new flavors and delectable treats, and we have never been disappointed. So, when we decided to have our wedding, we knew that there could be no better place than Blue Rooster to meet our needs. We contacted Blue Rooster to schedule a cake tasting for my upcoming wedding. The process was seamless, and we encountered no issues. Madison contacted us via email and requested some information from us. She promptly booked us for the tasting. We met at the Monroe location, which was charming, and Madison arrived on time and fully prepared. She actively listened to our ideas and drew exactly what we described on paper. We were impressed with her exceptional attention to detail. Her expertise, informative responses, and confidence helped alleviate our anxiety and put our minds at ease. On the day of the wedding, Madison arrived on time and well prepared. She completely decorated the cake table as promised and everyone was impressed by her work! The wedding cake that Madison produced was an exact replica of what she had drawn on paper. Not a single detail was missing, and it was so beautiful that it left everyone saying "WOW"! We had ordered large cupcakes for the guests, and they were both beautiful and delicious. The cakes blew us away, and they tasted even better than we expected. You could really taste the freshness! For our spring wedding, we picked six flavors of cupcakes - strawberry, key lime, lemon pound, banana pudding, Oreo, and Italian cream. Our guests enjoyed Old Fashioned Strawberry, Oreo, and Key Lime Pie cupcakes the most. The Lemon Pound and Banana Pudding cupcakes were also popular among them. We had ordered an excess of cupcakes, so our guests went back for seconds and even thirds! By the end of the night, only 20 cupcakes were left - all of them Banana Pudding and Italian Cream. We gave some cupcakes as gifts to our vendors and took some home. It was a happy ending to a wonderful wedding celebration! After the ceremony, we asked some guests which flavors they enjoyed the most. The Old Fashioned Strawberry was the clear winner, followed by Key Lime. My personal favorite was Italian Cream, while the Groom's favorite was Oreo. The vendors said their families devoured the cupcakes they brought home and everyone kept asking, "Where did you order these cupcakes from?" We were proud to announce that we got them from our favorite bakery in Monroe, GA. Every guest got to enjoy their favorite flavor and try something new, and nobody was disappointed. We had an amazing experience working with Blue Rooster and Madison. They helped us bring our cake visions to life and we couldn't be happier. We have always loved them and still do. If you're looking for a bakery for your special event, trust me, you can't go wrong with Blue Rooster. They have a lot to offer and the skills to make your vision a reality. Thank me later! “I was in town for work and the locals said go to LR for lunch. Why not? I don’t know any good places and I was so glad I did. The lady at the register (found out later she was the locals aunt) was by far the SWEETEST EVER taking my order. The fried pickles were amazing and definitely enough for more than 1. I loved my burger as well. Best part, is the restaurant is an old gas station. If you’re in Monroe stop by. You won’t regret it.”

His knowledge of the menu was impressive—his recommendations were spot-on, and every detail was delivered with a smile and such positive energy that it made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. He managed to be attentive without ever being intrusive, striking the perfect balance of friendliness and professionalism.

“Long Horns is a chain steak house that I visit from time to time. Although it seemed very busy with multiple groups of 12 or larger, there were several tables empty. This seemed like a staffing issue but that would only be a guess. I ordered the grilled Shrimp with Peppers as a main course even though it was a starter and French onion soup. Both turned out quite good. Our waiter was top notch. Sadly I can't remember his name. With the large crowds it was very noisy. Having a conversation with my associate was difficult at best. So, not the place I would recommend for an intimate dinner.”

I would easily compare them to some of the best restaurants in Atlanta. Their food can't be beat. We will be recommending this place to EVERYONE. “My family and I love Five Guys. The food and service were excellent! Since it’s a newly opened business, we understand there may be some growing pains. I don’t want to sound overly critical, but I’d like to offer a small suggestion. It could be helpful to have a dedicated employee to keep the tables clean and sweep the floors. Also, while the patio area is nice, there were some stains on the pavement. A good pressure washing could make a big difference.

I know this might seem minor, but small details like these can influence whether customers decide to return. That said, we will definitely be back! I just wanted to share a little feedback to help ensure the success of the business.

The food it let me down, was expecting the same quality and taste. It was lacking in some of the extras tastebuds. Was good but not great as it once was. I remember the fried rice get salt, pepper and some secrete seasonings, was salt, seafood was not seasoned as it once was. I don’t mind to pay more since this new building but give me that flavor I love please. Make sure portion are worth it, felt on the small side for the price. I want to come back please take my recommendations. I’m okay for the price but let’s get the food portion and taste up there.”
