“My boyfriend and I were visiting from out of town & wanted some catfish. As I was doing my google restaurant search, I came across this place. The reviews are 100% accurate. It is super cozy & homelike upon arriving. I like how small it is as it makes it a more intimate setting. There was parking right by the door as well. There were so many options on the menu, that I didn’t even know what to pick. All sounded so good. I got the crawfish mac & cheese and it was perfectly creamy, cheesy , and delicious. As far as my meal, I got the blackened catfish, shrimp, and sweet potato risotto. The seafood was grilled to perfection along with their sauces making it more flavorful. I also love how it is freshly cooked to order. For the season & dessert, I got the pumpkin stuffed beignets. Sweet but not overly sweet and the whip cream made it better. I can’t wait to come back as the service was great. And the staff was friendly.“

“This was our first experience dining at Hugo's and they did not disappoint. We started with the mixed oysters which were absolutely delicious. Our main dishes were the crab stuffed shrimp and red fish on the shell. Both were well seasoned and very tasty. We ended our meal with beignets and Gelato. Our server was very attentive and helpful. Though pricey, it was definitely worth it. We'll definitely be back.“

“I am so glad I found this gem!! I just moved to Atlanta from Boston (where there’s Haitian food everywhere) so I was little bummed out that there aren’t really Haitian spots out here. But my girlfriend found this place on IG and sent it my way. I ordered online and got the griot plate which comes with the diri kole (rice and beans) and the banan peze (fried plantains) with a side of salad and pikliz. Also ordered a side of the j*** chicken pasta which came with some delicious bread, my order also came with a lemonade and it was one of the best lemonade I ever had. EVERYTHING was delicious the griot was cooked very well still nice and tender people tend to overcook griot but this here was perfect! Portion is great! It’s a 10/10 for me and will not mind making that 30+ minute drive in Atlanta traffic to get it.My only suggestion would be to give the sauce on the side as opposed to putting it on the rice and having Dressing for the salad.Thank you Ted for a great meal, you definitely have a frequent customer now.“

“I’m a Louisiana native and I’ve had multiple parties catered by the crawfish shack. I first found them by searching reddit for what people considered the most authentic Cajun seafood in Atlanta. They deserve this title. I typically order crawfish, boiled shrimp, hush puppies, corn, potatoes, and beignets. The crawfish and shrimp are excellent, just how a Cajun would want. Corn and potatoes too. The beignets are a different take from cafe du monde style but, honestly, I was highly impressed and liked them just as much as what I’m used to.“

“Even though the place looked out-dated, the food was affordable and phenomenal. The service was speedy as well with nice staff. They had PLENTTLYY of seating in the time because it was mainly a little empty, like a hidden gem almost. No they dont have diet coke (they have pepsi products) buttt the refills were free. Overall i'd recommend it if your in the mall area looking for sea food with picky eaters. This is because they also have ramen, wings, AND a kids menu.“
