“I had driven by this restaurant many times for years and was always curious about it. I finally made the decision to try it out. It looks like they take reservations but since I went on a Tuesday night I decided to take my chances and not make a reservation. We were able to get a table for 2 just fine with no wait. The service here is higher end so it definitely added to the experience. I was intrigued by their Table D' Hote option which was a pre-fixed menu for 2 with 3 courses at $110. Decided not to go for it, but think I will try that next time. Ended up ordering the classic chicken wienerschnitzel, traditional sauerbraten, Kurt's favorite, and banana foster. Ended up loving everything except the wienerschnitzel. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't my favorite since I've had better elsewhere. The European food here is elevated in flavors such as the red cabbage braised in red wine. I've had a lot of red cabbage before but not like that. Could eat that all day. The Hungarian goulash with the spatzle was delicious. And the banana foster was made tableside by Kurt himself which I thought was a nice touch. They even had a enomatic wine bar where you can sample different wines! Walking in the restaurant took me back to Central Europe. It made me think of all the restaurants I dined at in Slovakia and Hungary with relatives enjoying each other's company over a nice meal. It was elegant and made for a nice date night. Everyone dining just seemed happy to be there. I look forward to coming back with my in laws when they visit.“

“Atlanta Pizza Truck was the biggest hit at our new years eve wedding! We wanted something different than traditional wedding food and they made our wedding dinner AMAZING! Everyone is so beyond nice (shout out to Sofia!). The pizza is so delicious and everyone loved it! We had a little hiccup with the original way we were going to do our food (we had originally planned to have the blue truck but when we had really bad weather last December and some pipes issues, it caused some damage to the truck right before our date. Stupid cold weather haha!) but Sofia’s prompt response and problem solving was great and they made everything work out beautifully and perfectly as if nothing had happened :)! Absolutely will be using them again at my future events!“

“Went to Whit’s today with extended family here in Georgia, while visiting from Kansas. What a wonderful experience with delicious treats! Each of us chose a different option from the extensive menu. As for me, I went straight for the “Whitser of the Month” (see foto). I figured the protein in the peanut butter would be an excellent complement to the carbs in the cookie dough and M&Ms. Great choice and I recommend it without reservation.“
“We stumbled across this ice cream place by driving by during a visit from out of town. Little did we know they were 1 minute away from closing - we got to the window and realized that it was 1 minute from closing so we were just going to leave (never want to be "those" people) - The lady inside insisted on serving us and told us that it was no problem at all. We chatted while she was scooping our ice cream and learned that she was the owner here and has been in business many years. Our ice cream was SO good and priced well! We will definitely back during our next visit to Chamblee/ATL!“
“I had the hummus, the lentil soup and grilled vegetables. I had been hoping for some vegan baba ghanoush, but the menu stated that it had yogurt in it. The hummus was much better than your average store bought hummus. It came with pita bread and a few olives, if it had included some cucumber slices and celery sticks it could probably be a meal in itself. The vegan items are not labeled on the menu, but the staff were friendly and answered questions.“

“I don't know why it's taken me so long to rate Southern Custard.Since I've moved to Atlanta I've been to Southern Custard probably 20+ times. It is BY FAR the best Custard I've ever had.They have vanilla and chocolate on every day, and then each day they rotate a special flavor once per month. So make sure you look at their flavor calendar and plan accordingly.They make their own waffle bowls and cones, which are my absolute favorite.They also have Poffertjes, which are small Dutch pancakes with Custard. They are delicious if you want to try something a little different.Friendly staff, but it can get quite busy sometimes so plan accordingly.“

While I liked the deep dish flavor and crunch without it being a deep dish, you only get 6 pieces for the price. Seems like there should be more? Also got the donut dessert, yummers! You get 4 of those but they are filling! Overall great experience ordering ahead and picking up (it was ready when I got there). I'll stick to the meatballs and maybe a sandwich.“

The meat portion was not very big, but with the rice, beans, and maduros, it was filling. The Cachapa Con Carne Mechada maize mixture is very sweet. So good though. We split both. The waitress came back to find us fighting over the last few pieces. Negotiations became fierce. How much pabellón is a fair trade for the last piece of cachapa is still not settled.“

By 7 pm, it was packed! They had live music when we went. There was a sign for trivia night too.I got the Mason Ale Works iPop! Tropical and it was soooo tasty and fruity and amazing. We took the crane cake and the steak frite. The crab cake was ok but too much bread in it. The steak frite was a revelation, the meat was tender and flavorful, very unique and we will be back for it. The bémol of this review is mostly the wine, good but the quantity provided for $12 are ridiculously small so you end up ordering more than 1 glass, was it on purpose? Anyway I suggest to avoid the wine as it spikes the bill significantly.“
