I ordered the General Taos chicken-it was lunch menu so it came with rice and either spring roll or curry pocket-I tried the curry pocket. The filling was okay but the shell was beautifully crunchy. The chicken was AMAZING! Seasoned well, great crunch- so good. I also ordered hot and sour soup but didn’t even eat it because I was so content. This place is a gem.“

“Even though I had a stuffy nose when I entered, there was a very strong smell of flowery disinfectant that never really went away. The place was clean, gorgeous decor in traditional American Chinese. Real glasses set the stage beautifully. The waitress was polite and quick to bring water. She brought the soup and then the egg roll. The egg drop was delicious, and the fried wontons were fresh. The egg roll was more a spring roll but tasted just OK. The carrots in it were huge for an egg roll. And the ends are too greasy. It looked as if they had reheated it. The tofu dish I got was delicious even if It was a little overcooked. The tofu should have been more pillowy and not chewy on the edges. I ordered the deep-fried dumplings to go, and they waited until I was finishing my food to cook it. I hope my daughter likes the General Tso chicken I ordered her. It looks as if it has a lot of vegetables in it. If so, this is a rare place that serves it this way. Most only have a few pieces of broccoli in it. The waitress brought me a delicious coffee jello type dessert that was fabulous. I would order it with a topping of whip cream (not the real cream they use) I am allergic so I had to forget the cream.“

“The girls serve you excellently, they are very friendly, the food is delicious. I love that the menu has photos and it is very easy to choose because we can see what it is about, and the waitresses explain to you if you have questions about any ingredient, you can feel the Peruvian style in the dishes, my favorites are the wanton soups with shrimp and the pork ribs with salt and pepper, are very divine and all the dishes are large, good portions.

“Absolutely LOVE this place. The food is phenomenal, and the lady at the cash register is nice. The spicy boiled fish and beef are glorious. So spicy you sit there sweating but you get a bowl of rice to help you simmer down. The cold noodles are also amazing. I like to start with those while the other dishes cool down a little. I don't know what witchcraft they have but the fish, beef and noodles are all silky smooth -- looove it.

The prices at this place are also hard to beat. We got 3 dishes with generous portions for less than $40. That's nearly impossible nowadays for this quality of food. The only problem is the environment. It's within the food court of Great Wall Supermarket. Super convenient for shopping, but it's not the cleanest. The tables aren't always wiped down and sometimes there are flies hovering. It was also super warm inside. But whatever we keep coming back for the stellar food and prices.“

“This is a really exceptional restaurant. The smokey wok flavor really comes through on the Seafood Vermicelli Chow Mei Fun / XO that I got. The Snow Pea Tips had good quality real crab meat in the egg sauce, and it tasted really fresh. The fried fish with XO sauce had a unique taste that I've never had before, and it might be the best fried fish I've ever eaten! I mixed some of the XO sauce and puffed rice from the fried fish with some white rice and made a whole new delicious flavor! The chili oil was really good, too. It's not as hot as I am used to, but it used Scechuan peppercorns like you are supposed to, instead of just red pepper flakes. The flavor was top-notch!

The food is served in the traditional Chinese family style, where they give you big serving dishes that are meant to be shared, and then everyone eats some of everything out of their own small bowls. If everyone gets their own thing, there is no way you will be able to finish.

All of the food tasted very fresh. I am excited to bring my family and friends here to let them try the food. I have to have that fish again. I'll try to post more pictures of the food the next time I come back.“

“Really great Chinese breakfast made fresh to order. I loved the crispy garlic chive pie dripping with bright green chive oil, the lamb viscera soup, and the danbing with egg and cruller inside. Don’t let the viscera put you off of trying the lamb soup as it’s just a comforting, savory broth with soft, not chewy or gristly bits of lamb. And don’t forget to get dessert next door at Family Baking afterward!“

“I got there very late around like 10:10 pm like the food was great. Everything well done as it is Chinese food you know. I went there last time and did dine in and the service was great. This time I just did takeout as it is nearing closing. The atmosphere was great and I got to play on my phone while I waited. Overall same great experience as last time. :)

Parking: Free parking. No one in the parking lot this late at night. Last time I went here in the afternoon their was still plenty of parking.“

“A new Chinese restaurant has opened in Samwongak. It seems to be much cleaner and the food is cleaner. Jajangmyeon was very cheap at $7, but the taste was just so-so. The oyster jjamppong I ordered together was delicious, but the Cheongyang peppers were a bit too spicy every time I bit into them. I like the spicy soup with Cheongyang peppers, but I wish they didn't add it as a garnish. The sweet and sour pork with glutinous rice was fried crispy and delicious without any meaty smell. It was nice that the servers responded kindly.“

“Was there a management change recently?? I got the Yum Yum Shrimp and Chicken lo mein yesterday and neither was what I have gotten before. The yum yum shrimp were basically over battered small shrimp with a side of sauce in a container. This was not at all what I’ve ordered before. The chicken in the lo mein usually is very chunky, juicy and very flavorful, therefore putting it a step above other Chinese takeout places. This was not the case this time. It looked and tasted like every other takeout spot. The chicken was shaved very thin, had no flavor and there were way too many vegetables mixed in. Very disappointed and won’t be going back.“

“I've had Chinese food before, but this is by far one of the best authentic Chinese foods I've ever had. I took my son and some friends here for his 13th birthday. The food here was absolutely amazing. The fry fish was my absolute favorite since I don't eat meat, but the rest of my family and friends really enjoyed the food.
