Great hidden gem to dine at if you're in the area and looking for something different! Had the jollof rice and it was super tasty; the perfect amount of savory spices and saucy meat made a great meal! Please consider trying these guys out!
Absolutely delighted by the genuine Nigerian flavors at 1738 African Grill! The goat Egusi vanished in no time, a true testament to its deliciousness. While the grilled red snapper was a bit overcooked and dry, my choice to skip the usual pepper sauce might be a factor. Despite this, the authenticity of the dishes makes it a worthwhile experience. An acquaintance recommended the jollof rice, and so I stopped in to try it (with oxtail and plantain). The portion sizes were to my liking, the staff were accommodating, and the interior is really nice. I was very pleased with my takeout order and will return. Next time though, I think I’ll choose to dine in to better enjoy the ambiance.
