“Food was good! Servers were rude. I placed my order. Waitress confirmed but, her accent was so difficult to understand and after asking her to repeat it several times, I just agreed. When the chef came out, he confirmed. When it came to me, he asked if it was filet mignon & chicken. I said, “no. It’s filet mignon and shrimp”! He called the waitress over to let her know. She was visibly annoyed. When she brought over the shrimp she said, “that’s why I asked you twice”, with attitude! Why couldn’t she speak clearly the first time, so I could understand what she was saying!!!Then, the one who rings up the order, had to change it. Then, stood in the doorway of the hibachi room, staring at me! Seemed like a form of intimidation!Take my comment however you want but, I’ll never go back! Very rude!!!“

“Such a hidden gem. We have been wanting to try this place for a while and glad we finally did tonight! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and you can tell it’s made with love. The staff was very hospitable and accommodating to our young kids. We are eager to go back and try the rest of their menu!“

“The original owner, Hirano's, has gone back to Japan and sold his businesses. Fortunately, the Abercorn location was the only store to inherit his precise recipes, consistency in flavor and service. Hirano had the bar raised pretty high for over 20 years.I prefer the Hirano's at the Abercorn location across from Armstrong State University. Their flavors, sauces and food are NOT watered down!Did I mention service? The restaurant has about 10 tables with various seating arrangements, plus bar seating in front the chef. Service is fast, so please don't be a table-hog. If you see more people coming inside, please release your table and continue socializing outside -- time moves fast when you are trying to enjoy a lunch break.Best Ginger dressing, shrimp sauce, gyoza sauce......well, everything. Over 30 years of loyal patronage and I have not experienced incorrect orders, poorly cooked food or watered down seasonings or sauces. Only AT THE ABERCORN LOCATION ACROSS FROM ARMSTRONG :-)PS - for tourists, ABERCORN is pronounced AB-er-CORN.“

“The food is pretty good. Call ahead so you don't have to wait, they stay pretty busy. I only gave them 4/5 because the food is decent, but not something you couldn't get elsewhere. I always get the chicken wings and rangoons, and they never disappoint. I've tried the rice dishes and a noodle dish and I've had better. The sushi is decent as well, nothing spectacular. The two items I enjoy are worth the 4 stars.“

“Just passing through and staying at a local hotel. Found this little gem of a place online and placed a to go order over the phone. When I walked in the woman at the front was very welcoming and congenial. Had Sashimi, a couple of rolls, and some salads. They were all great!“
