“The drive between Daytona and Augusta takes a while, so we like to look for gems along the way. Happy Wok is in a small store a little off the expressway in a non-descript strip mall. Menu boards are faded and the prices are missing. The business has a small seating area and the take-out menu is pretty standard. Besides the good food, the most noticeable thing about the place would be the eclectic art. DH had Sesame Chicken (his 'go to') and I chose the Bourbon Chicken dinner combos. I noticed a steady stream of people come in this Friday evening. Happy Wok isn't local, but I have it bookmarked, just in case.“

“All food ordered was very good. Krab Rangoon, Egg Rolls, Egg Drop Wonton mix (about 8-10 wontons in my large container!), steamed pork buns, fried rice, white rice, coconut chicken, chicken wings, hunan beef, general tsos, lo mein. Happy with everything and even though it's a 30 minute drive one way for us, we're only going here from now on.“

“I am so impressed by this place. I grew up near Boston and anyone from the northeast will tell you the Chinese up there is infinitely better than anything we have in Savannah. This meal I just ate, my god it was good. I would stack it against any Chinese restaurant in New England or NYC. I ordered the general Tao chicken and Bowl Bowl platter and seriously, every single part of this meal was fantastic! I am so thankful that I decided to give this place a shot. “I've been looking for a good Chinese Restaurant in the area and I'm getting closer with this place. The portion was good and the price was good. My only complaint is that they used a sweet and sour base for sesame chicken (red instead of traditional brown). It is the wrong flavor profile. That said, it did taste ok. Had they used the brown sauce, I would have considered a fifth star (rare from me). The fried rice was spot on and plentiful. Overall, I'll go back.“
