3/22/26 Update: I've been eating from here since 2021 when I first moved to ATL and I still do. SOLID GOOD FOOD EVERY SINGLE TIME!! MY ORDER HAS NEVER BEEN WRONG! THE PORTIONS ARE ALWAYS WELL WORTH THE MONEY!! EVERYTHING IVE TRIED ON THE MENU IS A1 (MEI FUN, LO MEIN, CURRY FRIED RICE, MONGOLIAN CHICKEN, MANDARIN FRIED CHICKEN & THOSE AMAZING CRAB RANGOON!!! WE HAVE OUR OWN RESTAURANT NOW AND I STILL COME BACK HERE WHEN IM IN ATL!!! 😁😁😍🤩🤗🥵🥺💥🤌🏾🫶🏾👀🤸🏾‍♀️... will update with photos when I get home with my food.“

“Great place, came through as part of the carnival and craved Chinese food. Place was practically across the street, it looks like most other Chinese food restaurants and the food was ready in 15 minutes. Honey chicken was perfect, fried rice was better than any other place I've been, and the wonton soup was more al dente than anywhere I've been but I think I prefer a wonton dumpling that stays on the fork rather than a soft one that won't stay on the fork or chopsticks. I'll be back regularly while we are here and probably next year as well.“

“Everything was tasty, just like it usually is at Panda Express. The food was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you expect when you come here.

The only small thing I noticed is that the portions felt a bit smaller compared to some other locations, but that’s really the only point worth mentioning. Overall, if you stop by here, you won’t be disappointed — you’ll get the same familiar flavors and quality you’re counting on.“

Very polite and nice lady at the register which is very unusual for most Asian establishments when it comes to black people in particular and I truly appreciate that. “Golden Gate is a gem that is known to Forest Park locals , but deserves wider recognition. I’ve been eating here for a good 15 years myself , and I was late to the party .
I just eat the Americanized stuff myself, but for those wanting they have authentic Mandarin and Cantonese dishes as well. I always see a large contingent of Chinese and other Asians dining here .

The hot and sour soup and the General Tso’s chicken are both the best I’ve ever had , also I really like the Pepper Steak and the Golden Gate Sizzling delight . The rice is perfect .

The folks here are so nice , and you get a really generous portion for a very reasonable price !

“Best Hot and Sour soup we’ve had this far South. Their moo shu dish has the “breath of a wok” meaning they cook the dish correctly.
Not soggy with cheap sauce. Real mu shoo wraps made fresh. Other dishes are prepared when ordered. Owners and staff are attentive. Place is clean and quiet.“

“Just got out of school and was looking for something to eat, saw this place online and took a gamble and I’m glad I did. Everything was cooked well and seasoned well. I ordered sweet & sour chicken with rice and broccoli on the side. The chicken had a good taste and a nice crunch and the sweet & sour sauce that came with it was very good and tangy. My broccoli had other veggies and some soy sauce poured on top which wasn’t too salty but wasn’t bland either, I enjoyed every veggie. I would’ve given 5 stars if my rice was seasoned a little more but overall I had a good experience and there portions sizes are very nice!“

“Let me let y’all know about this Chinese spot!!! I originally moved here being a native New Yorker and had a taste for some chicken and broccoli. Seemed like the other restaurants wasn’t hitting. I decided to give them a try after being in GA for about 2 months. Everything about them is customer service. Friendly welcomes, patience and most importantly FRESH and HOT food. They honestly are the only ones I go to and been loyal to from the time I moved here back in 2017. Not a buffet not another Chinese restaurant just China One. I have now relocated to another part of GA after living in Clayton county for about two years and I drive to them and spend my money with them faithfully for that taste that I want. If y’all don’t know now y’all know (in the words of Biggie Small) I totally approve and stand behind this restaurant especially if I’m driving 45 to an hour out just to get me my lunch special which if y’all go between the hours of 10-3:30 only available Tuesday thru Friday they offer that same quality food they make on a regular for a very affordable price and they hook the plates up. They know me on a family level! 🤣 When I walk in they know me for the no bamboo shoot and extra sauce on the side. Making me feel good because I am a committed woman. “Primarily a carry out place with a few tables for dine in.

The food was freshly prepared and of excellent quality.

Our order consisted of Mongolian Beef, Mu Shu Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and Crab Ragoons.

I would definitely repeat this order without hesitation, but I am curious to try something else from the menu.“

“An absolute hidden gem for those who can appreciate a more traditional house fried rice. I only order house fried rice when I come here, so my rating is solely based on this. I can almost say without a doubt that if you like good house fried rice don't miss this place. The portion size is on point for the price, the meat used is recognizable not dried cut up slithers. I like to see a good bit of egg in my HFR I didn't see that much this time so I ask why. I was told more people didn't want a lot of fried egg so they don't use as much but you can ask them to use the regular amount of fried eggs when you order. “The food is always good! The service is as the employees just want to take your money and get you out they face. No smiling faces. Actually as I came in to order the guy in front of me was complaining about the lady at the front. I don't know what transpired before I came in but she was being very sarcastic and rude. He asked for fresh wings, she said they would be there tomorrow and told him he asked a stupid question. The establishment is very outdated and just gives a very unclean vibe. Homeless people stand out front. Like I said the food is always good but no good customer service at all!“

“Good and cheap Chinese food spot. It reminds me a bit of China Express AKA “dollar scoop”. They advertise their food as 1 scoop for either $1.50 or $1.75 (I can’t quite remember). I was able to get a plate with lo mein, black pepper chicken, bourbon chicken, butter shrimp and a spring roll for under $10! All the food was delicious except for the spring roll. It was hard and had too much ginger or something inside it. I’ve visited twice recently and had good experiences. But I will say it pays to order in person, because the first time I used doordash to order online and go pick it up myself and it was almost $6 more for the same amount of food!“

I have the General Chicken and the Mandarin Chicken, both of which were really good. “I visited around 11:09 AM, right at opening time. From the outside, the place looked closed, and when I went in, the staff didn’t seem very cheerful or energetic. As someone who’s soft-spoken and has social anxiety, it was a little hard to get their attention at first, but thankfully I didn’t have to repeat myself too much, and ordering was quick and easy.

I was torn between getting General Tso’s chicken and beef with broccoli. I prefer my General Tso’s on the spicier side, but when I asked if it was spicy, I didn’t get a clear answer. So I went with my safe choice—beef and broccoli—and I’m glad I did! The vegetables were fresh and still had a nice bite to them, not soggy, but full of flavor. The steak was decent, kind of gamey, so I’d give it a 6.8/10.

I ordered the lunch special but substituted the rice for lo mein (not sure what kind they gave me), and it ended up being the highlight of my meal! The noodles were flavorful and had a great consistency. Even with the substitution and a drink, my total came to under $15, which felt like a great deal.

Overall, the food was tasty and fresh, and I’d definitely come back again!! Next time I’ll try something new, maybe even the General Tso’s if I can get more info on the spice level!“

I did look up the reviews before stopping by and although the rating of 3.8 was lower than I had expected, I decided to take a chance and come inside just to take a look before ordering. The atmosphere was pleasant, the service team members were fast, the food was extremely fresh and everything was hot and tasty. The orange chicken was a fresh batch which was good and the beans/chicken was cooked just right. I had half rice and half broccoli/cabbage as my side. The server and cashier was VERY nice and helpful in my selections and answered my questions efficiently. I normally don’t eat out especially fast food but I was tired of leftovers but had a taste for some orange chicken. I was pleasantly surprised about food to my liking.
