We have 3 Southern Soul gift cards from 2020-2021 that all have $50 on them. Or they should. Southern Soul changed their POS system at some point and these cards are now useful. They won't offer a refund or offer to honor the old cards, even though they were given money for the gift cards. They're essentially robbing people that had money on these old cards and at the register, they simply say 'we can't even check to see if there is any money on these cards anymore.' The food is exquisite! I always stock up on sauce and ribs when I’m in SSI. My go to BBQ spot for many, many years!
This might be an opinion in the minority but Southern Soul’s BBQ is mediocre at best. I have given it many opportunities and it is so disappointing even when I am not paying the bill. The different meats I have tried don’t even come close to hitting the mark, yet the place is typically always busy.
