Hueys’s on the River is a must when you are in Savannah! Absolutely the best Shrimp and Oysters we have ever had. I wish they would open one in KY!
Host on the phone with a private conversation while walking us to the table… did not remove extra plates… took 10 mins for a waitress
To come.. other servers do not make eye contact so you can ask a question… nice view but that’s about it…
Best eggs Benedict around, best beignets ever, this place is so quaint and brings back special memories for my husband and myself, we give Huey’s five ⭐️s

Huey's is a wonderful restaurant with a nice view of the river and a casual ambiance like a home pub. The food is delicious, especially the gumbo, etoufee, shrimp and grits, fried green tomatoes, crab cakes, and pasta with shrimp and scallops. The portions are large but of excellent quality. The staff is top-notch, providing excellent service even when stretched thin. Customers have enjoyed the beignets, which are a must-try, as well as the cornbread and the pasta jambalaya. The restaurant features outdoor seating and has nice window views of River St. While some dishes, like the catfish po boy, were reported as a bit too salty and dry, the crab cake sandwich and pasta pesto with chicken received praise. Overall, Huey's is a cute spot by the Riverwalk, definitely worth a visit for fantastic crab cakes and gumbo, as well as the warm beignets with praline dipping sauce.
