“TL/ DR - a true 5* property & experience. Room, cleanliness, service, on site dining.

At check-in June 3, 2026: Carolina was very thoughtful in explaining the property— 3 buildings— and the corresponding property map. We were pleased with room placement with balcony in furthest east Bldg (3Muses). We were advised water-facing rooms can be noisy.

On that note, by the third and final night, Friday, this past weekend, we learned that the cobblestone street outside was quite noisy as well. Fortunately, on weekend, just after midnight, revelry noise level moves down from the billiard Halls across from our room. (Ear plugs were furnished in the room :-) Even so, we enjoyed the balcony for the mornings and pre-dinner hour: it was ambience into our room as we were getting ready for our various comings/goings.

The pool featured brrrrr water; not yet nuked by summer’s power! But it was enjoyable for a refresh. It got unbelievably crowded on Friday afternoon, so glad we generally came earlier in the day.

Fortunately my work Conference: buffet style food supplied by JW was above-average, 4* food for Conference food (3* if judged on its own merit). But we enjoyed the on-site dining from which we tried small plates from the African restaurant, fish at the seafood bar outside the main building; my wife enjoyed the breakfast dishes from the coffee shop in the main building.

This is a special property. Enjoy the artwork and the unique character of each building. So much to see as meandering. Friendly Service top to bottom. Employees seem to value their jobs and our patronage. Would return without hesitation.“

“Azalea is a fantastic waitress and she waited on us each day we were there. We had the chicken skewers several times during our visit. Highly recommend this restaurant not only for the snacks hors d’oeuvres but for the artwork. If in the area, you should try it out and don’t be afraid of the menu. The cocktails were refreshing and delicious. Again, I highly recommend the restaurant and ask for Azalea to be your waitress!“

“The Lost Square and Alpine Village at the Alida Hotel provided a delightful experience. The food was delicious, drinks were great and service was excellent. The rooftop yurt, designed like a ski lodge, offers an intimate setting. The rooftop bar right outside the yurts is first come first serve and boasts beautiful scenery, heaters for colder days, and live music, making it a well-rounded and enjoyable venue. A friendly reminder to adhere to reservation times for the Alpine Village Experience as there’s a 90 minute reservation time and if you do not leave at the requested time, someone is waiting right outside the yurts and it throws everyone’s reservation off and it’s not only inconvenient for the guests but also the wait staff because they need to reset the yurt before you can be seated, which includes cleaning, sanitizing, new candles, blankets, etc. Recommend the Port City Spritz, which may be my new favorite drink, the ceviche, cheddar drop biscuits and the fried chicken. Make sure and add the S’mores bar as a final treat! The food was seriously my favorite part. Overall a great experience and I look forward to seeing what the Lost Square has next year for the holidays.“

“Stopped here just after we checked into the hotel last night for a drink and to watch the end of the NBA playoff game and are so glad we did! It’s very beautiful and our bartenders Gary and Dave were very personable and helpful with details about the area that are us as visitors really needed. With 100% visit again!“

“I’ve never had a bad meal here! My favorite dish is the filet mignon and their wagyu filet special. Had the Chilean sea bass the last time which was amazing. They have really good lunch specials as well.

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their offerings. I’ve had great service from Pax, Ash, and Logan at the bar on multiple occasions. Special shoutout to Logan who makes everything special for his guests, he deserves a promotion!“

“Don't waste your time on this bar......they're out of everything. Asked a couple of the bartenders why they're out of everything and they said the same thing......the manager Andrew would rather sit and gamble on the machines than order what the bar needs. Hopefully the owner gets rid of this narcissistic clown before he destroys the place. Go to Jerry's or the Dew Drop.......they actually have management that care about their business.“
