“My husband and I finally made it to the iconic Varsity for a quick dinner! We went on an off time for an early dinner on a Tuesday, and it was super low key. While we know we’ve had better burgers and dogs, we didn’t leave disappointed. Everything was tasty, and I especially liked the chili cheese fries. My husband described the burger as being better than a regular McDonald’s burger but not as good as a quarter pounder. The place was clean and I would keep it in mind for a quick and easy meal again while in midtown ATL.“

“Best banh mi value in the area. We always order banh mi from here every time we visit Atlanta. The banh mi quality is pretty similar to Banh Mi Cali in California. They also sell really strong Vietnamese coffee cafe sua da; I would be awake for days drinking it, lol. Their noodles and goi cuon are yummy, too. They are super efficient, provide extremely quick service, and they are great at math--calculating in their heads accurately. Highly recommend!“

“It was my first time going to Gusto. After my church members and I left Stone Mountain from our trail walk, we decided to eat healthy. We googled a healthy restaurant near the park. Gusto was the first place to pop up. We viewed the menu and decided to go there. And I am so happy that we did. Not only were we greeted as we walked in, the staff took the time to explain their menu and let us sample the dressing as well. I hate that I can’t remember the young man name but he came out to the table and asked us if everything was okay. I enjoyed the whole experience, called my daughter and she said let her try it. “In two visits to this area, we've stopped in this VARSITY location both times - a quieter, less busy, less chaotic alternative to downtown (which we also pass when in the area). Maybe too quiet: Both times we have been, it was midweek and mid-afternoon, but for the size of this location (it's HUGE) it was 'dead'. Hopefully it's just when we have been and not like this all the time. (VARSITY has been closing these outlying locations, one at a time, for a few years now.) While downtown is *THE* experience; this location is more for [current or former] locals wanting the comfort & nostalgia of eating VARSITY without the fuss. It is very clean - from the parking lot, to the outdoor area, to the indoor dining, even the restrooms. VERY clean. We parked where we wanted, went straight to the register to place our order, and sat where we wanted. Food is fast and cooked to order and just as good (if not better) as Downtown. I'd actually recommend this location to anyone I knew who was going to be in the area that was already familiar with The VARSITY [Downtown], wanted the food but not wanting the 'experience' of the Downtown location.“

The manager (Dean and Dashana) and staff welcome you with open arms of course at times they are overwhelmed (especially during rush hour time) and yet never a problem with the staff expect one bad apple. I’d like to try the potato mozzarella dog next and they have sweet options and you can cover them in sugar, yum. There’s a huge variety of toppings that you can put on yourself too beyond that. Definitely worth checking out if your at H-Mart or in the area

“I had a pleasant experience the first and third times I visited. However, the second visit was chaotic. The service was running super late on orders, even though plenty of plates were ready. I think they were short-staffed, but it was a mess. Now, coming to the good part: I loved the whole chicken. They could’ve added a bit more seasoning to the peri chips. The garlic bread was nicely made, and the Portuguese rice was good, though it was super cold. My favorite was the peri-peri wings—they were delicious. I enjoyed the chicken thigh sandwich as well. This place is better for hanging out with friends than for a date.“

“MetroFresh is a fast-casual eatery featuring fresh, healthy, and creative food. It is located in Midtown Promenade, near the Monroe Dr. and 10th Street entrance of Piedmont Park. It is MARTA-accessible via the 809 bus. MetroFresh is very bright and welcoming, with a cute coffee/wine/cocktail bar in the back of the restaurant. I enjoyed the 80s music playing in the background. The staff were extremely friendly and happy to answer questions and offer samples of salads and soups. We ordered Seared Thai 🥥 Salmon, Mitchell’s 🦃 Chili Lunch Special (included 🍪 and drink), and fruit salad. I sampled the Apricot and 🍐 Basil 🐔 Salad. My salmon was delicious. The protein was cooked to a perfect medium, and the stir-fry vegetables were cooked evenly and remained just firm enough to handle the rich sauce. The sweet chili sauce & 🥥 🥛 packed a flavorful punch, and I am looking forward to eating my leftovers. My husband always orders the 🦃 chili, as it is definitely one of the better ones in Atlanta. It is always well seasoned, with a generous amount of 🫘 and just enough 🧀 and sour cream for dressing. I appreciated the different fruits in the fruit salad (plums, 🥝, 🍇, 🍓, and 🍍). The 🍪 was not as memorable as their brownies (🔥🔥🔥). While I appreciated the freshness of the 🐔 salad, I found it needed salt and diversity of flavors. I look forward to tagging along with my husband for his post-workout dinner, as I want to try the smashburger and pork chop. I would also love to visit for brunch.“

“Most people would have given a lower rating but I understood we went right after a concert and it was packed. They only had 2 people there serving everyone. They let us know and apologized regarding the wait. Waited close to an hour for our food. The food was really good. Would go back again.“

“This experience was truly unexpected before coming here. My date and I were on our first outing together, and we initially chose what we thought was a higher-end restaurant for dinner. Unfortunately, the experience fell short, leaving us still hungry and craving something more satisfying. To turn the evening around, I decided to take her to Shake Shack—her very first time visiting one—and this location happened to be the nearest option.

I'm so glad we came because the experience exceeded our expectations. The location was beautiful, the staff were mostly friendly, and the restaurant was impeccably clean when we arrived. We placed our order and initially planned to enjoy our meal on the patio. However, it was getting chilly, and the staff was beginning to close the outdoor seating area, so we opted for takeout instead. In a pleasant surprise, the staff gave us a couple of extra drinks they were planning to discard, and those drinks turned out to be fantastic!

For my date, the visit was a delightful introduction to Shake Shack, and she mentioned she’d definitely return. As for me, although it was my first time at this particular location, I’ve been to several Shake Shack outlets before, and this one lived up to the high standards I’ve come to expect. The food was prepared perfectly, and the staff went out of their way to ensure we had a good experience.

I ordered the truffle burger with cheese fries, while she chose the chicken sandwich with bacon cheese fries. Everything was cooked to perfection—the burger patty was well-done, just the way I like it. The only minor improvements I’d suggest are adding a bit more fried onion to the burger and a bit more ice in the drinks. Other than that, the food hit the spot and made for the perfect ending to our date.

The only aspect I’d change is the ability to sit and enjoy our meal at the restaurant, as it felt a bit like they were rushing to close the seating area. However, that didn’t take away from the overall experience. This location left a great impression on both of us, and I’ll definitely be back.

I think it’s highly unnecessary that I have to wait in line longer then when I arrived bc the lane I choose, happens to be going too slow. The attendants should make sure that orders are taken as they arrive. There should be something in place that doesn’t allow 3-5 cars get ahead the one car that has been waiting on the other lane that was here first.“
